*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

I'd say so, I got the standard edition, but got the defib kit, medipack etc...
The only conclusion I could draw was that it was a veteran perk.

I liked how the game instantly knew it was me when I loaded it up and gave me my veteran perks.
 
If you've got the Garand rifle from BF1943 in the game, that's the veteran perk. None of those kits - ammo, health, repair, motion mine, defrib, etc. are available immediately. Summat weird is going on.
 
How the hell do you get the Flag Defender pin? I killed loads trying to cap the flag and i still havent got it. It's the only pin i need to get.

I haven't a clue what you're on about but I'm guessing you have answered your own question... see my highlight ;)

Maybe you have to capture the flag first and then kill any unwelcome guests, i.e. defend it. :)

That's what i am doing, killing people who are capturing our flag. It says defend 4 flags but i have done a lot more in a round.


Edit:

Done it, you need to get 6 kills not 4 like it says :S

Got me 15000 points, should be level 25 soon :)

how the hell do u register veteran status as the website wont let me enter in my gamertag ive tried it in safari and firefox so it must be the site, what a pain in the ***
 
Can anyone confirm if the website stats are working yet? I keep reading and see peoples screenshots of their stats but when I try I get an error?

The website should autodetect BF1943, BC, Heroes and BC2 but as I posted a few pages back, DICE have said it's bust. They are working on fixing it. Might be done before Bad Company 3. :D :rolleyes:

So, technically, would I be entitled to the unlocks even though I just have BF1943 and BC2 on PS3?

I couldn't do anything, i registered BC1 though with the gamertag, guess the system saw me playing BC2 and put the 2 together.

Anyways, just had a few games, am getting more into it, I suck with other classes, but time will heal that :) I am a mean engineer, top of the board almost all the time, got 8k points on a match (thats inc end game points so had about 5.5k on the scoreboard.

Getting used to the maps as well, which is good :D

Don't think so, you need at least 2 games and the game you want the reward for (i.e. BC2) doesn't count. But I might be wrong about that.
 
Ps3 version has turned into a lag fest tonight :( Fairly sure it is a server issue as someone else in a different game mentioned it as well.

Some errors I have noticed on PS3 version.

If you have been killed and are in the process of waiting to respawn, if you are choosing a new weapon/class etc but then someone revives you, you can get stuck on the respawn screen, so have to choose suicide.

Also got stuck in rocks, destroyed heli's etc some times and unable to jump out.

Also why do I not have this white box on the score tab? I had the highest rank available on BC1 ? and have played BF1943

Do enjoy the game though, shame in a way as I dont think BC1 will get much play now as this is out.

Also find the pressing select when you see someone is very hit and miss compared to the demo.

Yeah - I've had the revive problem 2 or 3 times on the 360 version.

I think they limited how many times you can press it maybe? Not sure - but it annoys me!

Was easy to spam it on the demo even when you could not see the player - like for snipers on the mountain.

I hear they nerfed it - a bit to much though as you point out it sometimes does not seem to work at all when in full view. If there is a delay and you mess it up slightly first time would make sense that nothing happens for a bit while hitting the select button.
