*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

Not had one bit of lag tonight! Only played online twice but I've had no problems so far on the PS3.

Loving how a squad can really dominate a map, shame they were on the other team every game! Can't wait to unlock anti-tank mines, seem to be very useful! Managed about 12k pts in 2 hours playtime, seems to be good enough!

Oh and I love highlighting enemies on the radar! Even when I've snook up on them I press select just to make sure everyone knows where they are, get a good amount of points for all the spotter kills!

It's now become instinct for me. In fact, before I even pull the trigger, my finger hits that SELECT button. :D Not that it always works and I end up dead quite often.
 
LOL, I dunno how this happened, but I scored nearly 1000 points in an single assault!

It was on Conquest-PanamaCanal. It was the warehouse next to the ramp in the middle (the one nearer the treeline). It's always a hotspot, so I moved in from the side. Threw a grenade and took out 3? peeps camping the flag, then moved in to cap the flag. The cover there isn't very good, so I was covering all points on my own. I know people come round the containers, so I just happened to peek down the side of one. Unloaded my Saiga, kiled two enemy, another comes round the corner, stabbed him in the eye socket, then another! This was getting frantic and I think I was losing all control, mashing buttons like mad! Bang! stabbed another in the head!

My pulse was crazy at this point, I made my way back to the flag to cap. A tank comes rolling in and I whip out my rocket launcher (i'm sorry, i don't know which one it is, it's the second one to unlock). I fire, no good, throw grenade, no good, hide whilst i reload. I take massive damage just trying to stay hidden. I somehow survive and pop out, fire another rocket and the tank goes up! Get 30 for damaging a tank, then 100 for destroying a vehicle, then 50 for a kill, 50 for a kill, 50 for a kill, 50 for a kill! :eek: The tank must have been loaded!

I cap the flag! 80pts. An enemy come through the main door near the canal, couple Saiga shots and he's down. Here comes more score, flag defender and a couple others (can't remember what, savior or something?).

In roll a squad of enemies. I have no ammo loaded in the Saiga and try to re-load, but it seems to take forever, so I leg it. I go out the side of the warehouse (near the canal), decide to jump over the edge to escape, only I got it wrong and landed on the concrete.

Suicide -10pts, lol!

This game is simply amazing! :D

PS. The above will NEVER happen again! I am NOT a pro player, I just play for fun and got VERY lucky. Still, it's good stuff and stuff you will only get in Battlefield.

Love when you get moments like that.

Had one last night where me and my squads medic where behind the chopper spawn on rush on the map in the jungle (lighthouse?), we were at the MCOM's at the lighthouse, anyways, behind the sandbags, enemies coming at us left right and center and all I hear is him singing "I will survive, oh I WILL SURVIVE!!" lol, was so funny, when he got killed, i stole his kit, revived him, when i died, he revived me, went through 3 kits of the enemies due to no ammo, was brilliant :D Lasted about 3 mins and our team easily stormed the base as the entire team was trying to take us out lol.

Got loads of points, but I was mainly in tears laughing at him singing it the entire time lol.

Zensuji, there seems to be a problem with adding you to my friends list. I have tried twice now but you just disappear after it tells me you'll be added. Anyone else having a similar issue?

I must have deleted you. I had some really good games the last few days with randoms joining our squad of 3 and then sending friend requests so sorry about that mate. just added you

I think that they left it out for balance reasons. Couldn't possibly say why but they reckon they tested it out various times and it didn't work with the "dynamic" of the game. Personally I would have liked for it to be in the game, but I guess those that moan about snipers would only moan more if there was an option to go prone as well. Obviously on the flip-side, prone offers a lot more protection from snipers as well, so meh.
 
Whats peoples play time on the medium setting for the campaign?
I want to clear it first before tackling online (well, had a couple of online games)

I've just reached the Andes stage (Mountains)
 
Absolutely loving this game online!

But now it won't let me connect to the servers!!
Anyone else having this problem?

As a sniper/recon I thought that it would be an issue, but 90% of the time it isnt. Remember the 5s and you will be fine. Shape, Shine, Shadow, Sihouette and Space. The ghillie suit in this game is the best of any game that I have played. In areas with foliage it helps you blend. Dont sit on top of buildings out in the open, somebody will spot your silhouette against the skyline and put a round through your head. Use cover whenever you can and cover can be anything. I have spent a half a round, sitting on a collapsed house, 20m from a Cap. Just spotting and the odd headshot. People will be looking for you, where they think that you should be. Sitting in a collapsed house, right on top of the flag, in a shadow is not where they expect you to be.
I am glad now that there is no prone in this game, it would make snipers/reecon too hard to spot.

I've not played single player much to be honest. I had a go when the servers went down over the weekend, but have been on MP otherwise :)
