Well, haven't really been able to connect all weekend - only managed once, and 1 min later the round finished.

At least there's been SP to entertain me instead. Hopefully will get resolved eventually...

Played an epic game yesterday on the TFU server, on the map where the Americans start with 3 M1A2's, and the Ruski's with 2 T90's.

Was Ruski, and prevented the yanks from taking the first points with some very good engineering skills from one of the TFU guys.

Ended the round on 47 - 6, and a score of 17k!!!

Had a quick go this morning after suffering pb errors and master server crashes last night-seems ok at the moment.

Re the pb disconnects the official game forum says this is causes by game servers needing to be restarted after a master server outage. No idea if it's correct but seems to make sense.

When it works I'm loving this game got on to one of the TFU servers over the weekend - running in Hardcore mode got my ass kicked big time. Need to practice much more before I join you guys again :)

Lol, in fairness to the guys, when in a squad we all tell others what class to spawn as... i.e if sum1 is in a tank, spawn on them as engineer, if rushing for box or flag, spawn as medic etc.

All practice for when their is an offical BFBC2 competition league ;).

Lol na, just keep playing on it. Every1 works in squads so it makes it much harder to go it solo, just come on vent you'll find it easier as the guys will keep you alive.

I laughed at a comment here the other day: "I thought i was a half decent player till going on the TFU server.... where i got owned"..... I totally agree it is bloody hard on there, my Kd is shockingly low grrrrr!

Every game I've seen the Apache in with a good pilot in, its allways rippin up the attackers, it seems good to me, especially when it's over our base and I die to it something like ten times before it gets blown out the sky.

Yep most definately a game winner in the right hands, especially on the open desert map with the stranded ship, sitting in your base destroying the heli // tanks // you - you don't stand a chance unless you deal with it sooner rather than later (which a lot of people don't bother with, I try though!) :D

Does the apache have a reinforced window? as i was able to snipe the pilot in the blackhawk was wondering if you can do the same with the apache. Was quite funny though killed the pilot and saw ppl bail out, was like shooting fish in a barrel.

Would any of the played it non-stop for hours hardcore people here be kind enough to throw up some tips for all us noobs; I'm doing ok (usually around half way up the table, been top once and second, but still can improve a lot) - playing as Engineer.

Any good tips on racking up the points // levels quickly?

lol@Last Kronin, not sure - but that would be some shot!

Engineer is harder to get points if there is no armour on the map, always squad up get pts for squad based repairs and issue orders ( Q ) on the objectives, gives bonus pts, if you have the tracer you get 30pts for tagging a vehicle and pts if someone blows it up while you have it tagged.
But if you are just after pts then medic is the best as you get pts for both healing and reviving, the only class that gets 2 set of pts.

As engineer play Atacama (Conquest) grab the fast truck from spawn and head behind A/C depending on who you spawn as, couple of rear amour shots to tanks and they're as good as dead.

Depending on their helicopter stop off at the AA on the way there and blow it up, no snipers at A/C yet so you're safe :)

1) Join a Squad and stick together, so spawn on them as you get bonus points for Squad Kill assists.

2) Use the Q button to spot enemies and also on MCOM/Conquest Flags to issue attack/defend orders as you get bonus points from your squad for these

3) Pins/Badges/Stars give you lots of points so they are worth getting. Pins are normally along the lines of 4 Pistol Kills, 5 Kill Streak, 5 Mounted Kills etc. Pins are normally 100 additional points, Gold Pins double that and Stars are a few hundred. Badges are thousands so help you level quickly.

4) Repair vehicles AND MCOM points. Lots of people don't realise MCOM points can be blown up eventually by explosives. I managed to destroy one as the defending team by calling a Mortar in on a badly damaged MCOM point :(

I played last night in a decent squad of 4 on vent for the first time and it doesnt half make a difference to performance and scoring,

I killed more due to spotting, i scored more with amo drops, i died less due to medic in squad, and we defended and attacked as a team.

It really does make a difference if your all on vent talking to each other, and covering each other
I assure you you will win any game that has 2 sqauds working together in it, enemy dont know whats hit them if they are all loners

This is also why i dont care about the snipers camping, they never win the match in the end

You can snipe the Apache pilot.

You seem to be able to use more or less anything to shoot through the apache cockpit window, one was taking off last night and i rattled the pilot with the default assault rifle and stole it.

Id say pistols would also probably work.

Not had a problem connecting to servers or with punkbuster - it's been a smooth ride so far :)
Do we have a My Soldier Stats page  Can't find anything on the EA website.

Well contrary to the above it failed to connect to any server last night. Even the PlayNow button didnt work :(

Girlfriend was happy - I wasnt. Played SP instead. :D

I was having great fun in the UAV last night. Using the scope specialisation so I could sit right back from the action. I just spotted everyone, and over Vent was directing a couple of friends, letting them know where people were ahead of them.

Plus obviously raining hell on infantry and vehicles with my rockets. I ended up with about 12 kills and a loads of points for spot assists :)

The UAV doesn't seem to get used much by other players.

LOL! You're a bad man!

Sorry I had to leave the TFU server just now in a hurry, there's some gardening needs doing and I've been given my orders. :(

Ended on something like 34-7 and a load of points for spotting enemies and giving attack orders, chuffed because usually I'm just getting totally raped!

Are you kidding, i tend to find the UAV is 1 of the things players rush to control. Then all they do with it is sit somewhere stationary while a Sniper destroys it...
