For gaining points the best thing to do is be in a squad and as assault give loads of ammo out and use the "Q" button, to spot everything i.e. defend the mcom or attack the mcom, spotting enemies etc.

Thing that annoys me when other people grab the UAV is not only when they're stationary but they continue to hover between attacks, which is pointless. I go to ground and take cover to pop up at a different angle and launch an attack.

Hardly anyone using the UAV seems to "spot" defenders either, which is something it's very good at!
 
How are folks finding the servers today? I might get a chance to play after work today but couldn't really get on at all yesterday evening, was constantly booted even though PB is the latest version and has even been manually updated with the damn files from the PB site.

Same for me as yesterday getting you have lost connection check your internet settings after around 15mins into each game.

For any of the OcUK L4D2 players who play this, my vent is still there and we are still in it, just playing BCBF2 as well as the odd L4D2 game :)

My main gripes so far:

- Squad of 4 limit.
- People spawning on you and "blocking" in general.
- People not spotting.
- Noobs!

This is excluding all the known bugs/issues/fu sniper/fu noob tubers/disconnects/punkbuster/team stacking/etc comments already :) It is early days though...


I practically played ALL day Saturday (first time) and half a day Sunday. It's very BF with the standard "do's" and "don'ts" there from previous games.

In the fairly large amount of gaming I did over the weekend, I had 2 CTD's (whilst browsing for servers) and one in game freeze (There were 4 of us in vent and everyone froze up and either CTD or had to reboot within about 5 minutes of each other. First time we played that map all weekend too - broken map maybe? Can't remember its name though).

I played Medic in BF2 so it has been my class of choice in the new game. It does seem easy to score points but then again I play the class for its purpose, not to run off and get kills but to help the team more. It is quite easy to score points and as a result I've had quite a few Ace Pins already!

Really good game and everyone who I know who has bought it now or got it through recommendation and played have had addiction set in. Hope to be seeing a lot more OcUK'ers out there too!

Oh and thanks to ScareySquirrel who joined me on Saturday for a quick 30 minute blast. Good fun even though you weren't on vent! I learned a lot in that 30 minutes and it refreshed my "How to Battlefield" skills :)

Maybe get you in our vent next time playing with us when you can !
