Had an hours blast on this night.

Gotta say I was loving it.

My performance was lackluster to say the least on medium. Generally kept its head above 30 but still, I'd have thought it could be better.

Spec in sig, what settings you think I should run it at?

Assuming it's the 512MB, medium is about right. If it's the 256MB, then you're SOL really. What resolution are you playing at? Have you disabled HBAO?

HBAO I'm not sure I saw a setting for it.

512mb Amp! Edition. Whats the HBAO setting for?

I get as far as the grey popup, asking for my location and distribution type (download), but there are no dropdowns for me to use. They were there earlier yesterday evening, but aren't there anymore :(

I'm getting the same - this must be their quick fix to stop people getting it early. Very poor.

My key still works though so they dont appear to be blocking those that have already ordered.
 
1680x1040, 4x AA, 2x AF, HBAO & Vsync Off, All other settings on high and it runs lovely and smooth. A real improvement over the beta verson.


Anyone else have the scoreboard error where it looks like 2 of the column headings are overlapping (I think one is ping) also pings showing up incorrectly as 100-200.

The game crashes and closes without any explanation or error when alt tabbing as well. Other than that I played it for a couple of hours online and love it to bits.


Just in case some of you didn't know - If you've owned & played previous battefiled games you can sign up on http://veteran.battlefield.com/
you will then get veteran status in game and it unlocks the M1 Garand Rifle which I think is really really nice to use! :p - pop pop headshot - PINGGGG .. (reload) :D

Any way of finding out what your username was in any of these games. I cant remember them.

Have you changed the field of view as i found that made a big improvement overall, just seems to have made everything much faster might just be me lol.

I've tried entering my details but not having any of it. Can't remember if I tied them to my EA account.

Might dig out the vietnam cdkey see if that works.
 
It's much less arcadey than MW/MW2, as in there's actual recoil & health doesn't regenerate at the speed of wolverine. Also, it's Battlefield, very Battlefield. Love it as much as 1942/2/2142 - squad play is top notch.

Only thing that is missing is 6 player squads and a commander.

PS Default FOV is 55? What the ****! How terrible are consoles getting these days, really need a next gen so the graphic 'baseline' gets pushed up to *x1080 @40-60 fps.

Not even seen a chopper yet :(

The APCs seem so weak, had a go in one yesterday. Gone are the days of BF2 where APCs were a threat :P I suppose its to promote the cautious use of assets.
 
Im still struggling to change the FOV in the settings.ini file, Ive tried putting the line FOV=75 in every line and saved it, still nothings changed

Can someone please pose their settings.ini file content, would mean the world to me

I don't think they are weak at all.

I spent a whole round in a stolen Bradley the other last night (on Panama Canal I think), Racked up 5 or 6 armour kills with a combination of the guided TOW, team mates RPG's, and my main gun. I also got about 7-10 infantry kills with it as well.

I played very cautiously and repaired myself as I went. It was such brilliant fun.

I hardly ever get to go in the chopper as I never load into the game quick enough :(

The infantry combat in this is better than BF2.

Try Fov=75 instead of FOV=75
