I was ready to play last night from 18:00 till 22:00 I got on at 21:50 so I was only on 10mins! Bah! lets hope they fixed it properly.

I also had a bad time of it yesterday afternoon when I first loaded up BFBC2 and could not get onto servers. How did I solve the problem - firstly I sulked for 10 minutes moaning to clan mates on TS. The I scrolled through various forums...mainly this one and also the teletype on the BFBC2 main menu.
Using add/remove programs - I removed my installation of BFBC2, then I removed my instance of BFBC2 BETA. I then removed all physical files and cleared out recycle bin. I then reinstalled BFBC2, and also downloaded PBSetup from evenbalance. I then opened and updated PBSetup then opened BFBC2. At first every server I clicked gave me an internet timeout type message and then suddenly everything worked!
From yesterday approx 3.40 in the afternoon I was on our clan server (in the UK) playing and by 10.00 last night we had 4 or 5 of us on (the server has had a minimum of 24 people on it since wednesday
So happy days are here - the maps are excellent - love them and I can see some really cool fire fights happening when people get more tuned into the intricacies of the maps.
I think anyone with connection issues - they are either solved by ea already or solvable by following the steps above

How did you mange this? Ive got the same spec but an i5 750 and can only play 1280*720 everything on medium 2AA/AF, on high my framerate drops to around 30 which is too low for me, 60 is my target

Having played bf2 to death for 5 years, will i be disappointed by this? Anything it doesn't have that will make me repent buying it?

Steam has it activated! Got to go to work though. 
Will be on one of the various ocuk ascotiated servers tonight. I always preferred conquest in BF2142, but I'll be happy to play anything to be honest, just not hardcore for my first game...

this is ****ing me off. apperantly they havent fixed the connection problem yet ....
seems to be a windows 7 64bit prob.
i restarted pb as someone said this helps... now i dont even get an error message very weird :S
if anyone finds a soloution to this could you post it up here, as i check it pretty often thx a lot!

I don't think it's a problem just for windows 7 64bit.

Tried running it as admin? Used to have this prob on BF2/Win 7 X64 and running the .exe as admin fixed this.

Nearly averaging 100FPS+ 5970 and [email protected], runs nearly 20FPS quicker than the beta.
Still getting the odd graphics flickering as seen it the beta, now where near as bad though on 10.2's, any-one got the same?

youre a bloody genius anything-but! seems to have worked! ive been let into a game with no one on noiw lets see if i can get into a proper game!
What you need to realise, and other people as well, is that this game is NOT the same "Battlefield" we all know and love, this is Bad Company, a series that branched off initially intended for the Console market - it may resemble BF2 but it should not be expected to follow it on, it has its own path.
Nevertheless the game is still pretty awesome and definitely worth getting if your system can run it
With regards to the Battlefield series, watch out for Q3/Q4 of this year, OH HI BATTLEFIELD 3
Managed to get an hour or so on multiplayer lastnight but couldn't see where or how i use the unlocks i get in the limited edition version.
Can anyone let me know where the unlocks are or how i use them etc
(I've unlocked them in the menu using the code btw)
On another note has anyone got fraps to work with this on winodws 7 64? I can't get the fps overlay to work.
