Indeed, its a great gun and there seems to be loads of ammo around for it. Any notice that this game is littered with cash everywhere?! :p

Just as well considering the amount of Med Kits you need to buy, especially after a Big Daddy/Sister fight

I did the sister without taking much damage at all, I just used telekenisis and lobbed everything back at her. The first daddy got me a couple of times.

Good thinking :o

Big Daddy got me once, Big Sister took 3 or 4 hundred tries :p Started with the Electric Plasmid then my g/f suggested I switched to the Incinerate (she ended up being right)

She throws fire at you, so TK throws it back at her as well as the rocks. There might be better ways with experimentation but that worked quite quickly for me, inbetween I blasted her with Anti personel rounds.

Would have to agree the graphics do feel a letdown considering the original is around 2.5 older. However from the short bit I've played of the single player it seems decent! MP I'm not so sure yet, the movement feels a bit sluggish and slow and it seems a bit of a spamfest. Capturing/Protecting the little sisters did seem fun though!

Right, I am about to have a all nighter (as much as possible), if their is no acheivment for 'normal' difficulty then I'm going to bump it to easy as I just want to play the story, not really in it for a challenge. Although normal is rewarding as there is a bit of satisfaction after taking down a sister (done 2 now). So will see how I get on :)

As for the graphics, maybe a bug? Because some seem normal/same as bio 1, but others seem beyond terrible, for example, some rocks in the ocean just look like blobs... So might be a loading bug?

edit: anyone else notice how splicers are using cover?

First time i noticed was the "Securis" (sp?) door in the room with the generator (basically the room right after the first). Textures were awful. I stood looking at it, waiting for it to load in but it didn't. Dunno why they have went a step backwards on the visuals.

Yea it seems abit more 'intelligent' in the way they move around. After playing it for quite some hours yesterday I think it is a very good sequel with exception of the graphics. Like the big sisters are a nice add to give the levels abit more challenge and the harvesting with the little sisters give you more time to look around finding the audio tapes and just have a good look around generally :) I'm also using the security way more than I did in the first one to survive because of the range hack which is awesome!

No problems with the graphics here, pretty much the same as Bioshock one.

Try having a look at the vita chambers, then maybe you'll see :P

And looking through windows etc, the scenery is years behind Bioshock 1. I remember the start of Bio 1 i thought it was still cutscene when I was in game. With this one I keep checking I haven't lobbed the disc into a ps3 ;) I mean original xbox.

Well, played loads last night, almost got all the weapons, missing 1 more :D

Once I have completed it, I am going to pick up Bioshock 1, I miss it too much lol.

edit: I am going back to normal, not fussed about the achievements, its far too easy on easy (ironic eh?), I didn't use a single med kit whilst fighting my last big sis....

Ags, if you want a challenge try playing it on hard with no vita chambers and auto aim off... it's gonna put some longevity in the game that's for sure.

Graphics have defenatly taken a step backwards for some reason. Very strange taking its the same engine and they still have all the assets available to them from the first game, quite why they would not use them, or replace them with low res versions is beyond me.

Out of the 3hr or so that i've played (just got the Incinerate Plasmid, been taking my time, and I'm on Hard), it's been good, but just no where near the gameplay of the original Bioshock.

Environments just seem lacking, and the storyline so far is very... meh.

The start of Bioshock was one of the best of any game, plane crash, finding the lighthouse, bathysphere and seeing Rapture, then the splicers trying to cut there way in before being left alone in the dark in this dripping decaying metropolis...

Bioshock 2 has no such glamerous introduction and just kind of throws you into the game without any real explanation as to what you are doing there...

I'm still enjoying playing, though that is probably more due to being back in Rapture and having experiences new, I'm just hoping the plot-line improves as the game progresses.

My final 'nit pick' is is that I'm apparently meant to be a 'Big Daddy', yet splicers come charging at me like I'm some normal run of the mill pleb, and manage to tear through my health with deadly efficiency...

Yet, if I fight any other Big Daddy in the game it takes half my ammo reserves and multiple Plasmid blasts to bring the swines down...

I must be the gheyest weakest B'Didddy in the entire of Rapture... :(

Blimey level 4 has taken me the best part of the day on and off. Exploring every nook and cranny. The gameplay is much more interesting and works better than the first one but I've almost done level 4 and it feels like there isn't even a story yet.

I am doing the level where you meet that new guy on the radio who wants to make a deal as he is in the control room or something.

Anyways, I am exploring that level... Oh my god, only about half the way through it, found so many tonic's and stuff, just got one for the drill, significantly decreases eve usage on plasmids but can only use hack tool, camera and the drill lol.

Stored it away after trying it :)
