****Official Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 thread****

Well i'm instead of just running in and saying its crap, graphics suck etc. i'm going to be a bit more subjective, the SP is actually not that bad when you get over the fact its console level graphics, its might not be new and exciting just more of the same. however its interesting enough to keep me hooked and want to play to the end.
we all knew it wasnt going to be a graphical masterpiece, its designed for its target audience the console market, so i'm neither suprised nor disappointed in this respect.
granted better textures etc would be nice.

I'm enjoying it so far, yet to try online.
Wether it got good reviews or not i would have purchased anyway, i wouldnt say i made a mistake and would not have a refund if offered, however i dont see me putting a lot time into this after finishing SP and giving MP a quick try.

as for people just in to troll cause you like bf3 more bit sad really .

yes there probably is bugs but batttlefield is so free of these :rolleyes:

i like both so gunna give honest op on it later when actually played few hrs.
 
To all the people saying "not worth the money!" I got both BF3 and MW3 for 40 quid.

I personally think it's a good deal, even if I get bored of the MP, the SP will probably still be a great play through, as they usually are. I always feel that the MW single players are almost worthy of hollywood action flicks, but you play the main part, and for the price of a cinema ticket and popcorn, I feel like I've got a good deal. :p

Was reading through this thread to get an idea of how it was being received, but had to take a minute to lol at this -- the biggest troll from the BF3 thread ladies and gentlemen; pleading for MW3 not to be trolled. Take a bow big guy.

how am i the biggest troll of bf3 i think its a good game :confused:

half of people in here whining are doing it about things that were known about being in the game from 6 months ago.

not only this cod on here isnt cool . this forum prefers bf series.

all im saying is can we judge the game as it is not cause you a bf loyal . half of people will just say bf3 is better with no real structure or insight.

like i said i like bf3 and i like cod whats wrong with that :confused:
 
So far I've played about an hour each of SP and MP. Both are meh so far, reminding me more of Black Ops than MW2. The MP maps are disappointing and forgettable, which makes me suspect I will be going back to MW2. Without great maps everything else falls down I think.

MW2 was quite an improvement on MW1, better graphics, gameplay enhancements etc. MW3 is more like a MW2 map pack, and a mediocre one at that.

At least it runs well compared to the buggy Black Ops, although a couple of times I had very bad stuttery lag in MP games, whereas every other match was silky smooth and lag free, so there seem to be a few issues to iron out in a patch.
 
I am sorry to all COD fanboys but this game is truly awful. Graphics from 2006 (at best), awful cut scenes! The low res textures at the beginning (jeep section) has me laughing at how insane some people are over COD.

I will not be buying this! And for those who do, I lol at how easy a fool is parted from his money!
 
Booo, if that's true, then I won't bother to install it when it finally arrives from the rainforest, and I'll just send it back for a refund. I was after more of the same that MW2 provided, but not mediocrity.

Perhaps I'll just get BF3.
 
I got COD4 free on Steam with this, I played the **** out of that on the 360 way back. How is it on PC these days? dedicated serves any good? easy enough to avoid hackers?

thinking of playing that until they get some bigger maps into this frankly...
 
Finally got my email from Games planet to say my purchase has been validated and has instructions on how to activate on steam but says use the CD key below in the email but there is not one?

does the key come in another email after the purchase has been validated?

Edit: dont worry it was not being shown correclty in my phones email client.. got my key

I dunno who else agrees with me, it would be nice to get some feedback from the Steam forums but they've been down for 24 hours for some reason :/
 
Looks like you can't play as SAS/TF141 during MP any more either, instead you can be French!

edit - this is wrong, I just played a map where the enemy was SAS

BF3 will have far more longevity. Just needs a few bugs ironed out and it will be epic.

Even in it's current state it appears that it is 50 times more of a full game than MW3. This is the response from friends of mine that play and have enjoyed both series of games in the past.
