Yes, it's made for console, but so are most things nowdays - here's a line, get over it.
Sorry, I don't mean to be one of those guys that wades in to a discussion, only having experienced one side (I've only bought COD when I felt like it was worth it, so COD/UO, 4 and W@W) but this seems like the most ridiculous argument for buying a game...
"There's nothing we can do so lets just buy it..." or you could not buy it? Spend your money on something else worthwhile? I'm not saying you should go out and get BF3, you're obviously buying COD against BF3 (for whatever reason), but surely its not that great if you're having to defend it by saying what you said, and you'd be better spending your money elsewhere?
Perpetuating Activision's decisions into making more of the same game over and over like its Fifa or something just seems to make no sense at all, especially if your defense of its failings is to say "Its a console game..." Activision will just keep phoning it in, and you'll just keep paying money for it and its just a vicious cycle into the depths of terrible game production.
I won't be buying it, not because I'm a BF3 Fanboi, but because I don't see the point. There's nothing new or exciting about it, and they've long since forgotten us who got them where they are.
TL;DR I don't want to buy it because its not worth my money. I don't like the original quote because it makes no sense to me, and fuels bad games.
