For all those wondering, the single player is the same as previous mw games (amazing 
)
It feels like your in an action movie, great fun. 100 times better than the few levels of BF3 SP I completed

MW3 is amazing, its a shame that people are hating on the game because of the graphics.
BF3 has awesome graphics but the game itself is very disappointing and not much fun. MW3 might not have the best graphics but the game is super fun, havent had fun like this in ages.
Plus BF3 will never be a true successor to BF2.

Picked this up from pc world as they was matching best buys deal of 29.99 plus 10 percent. So i got it for 28.49 for the xbox. Just had ago and the graphics arent a jump forward, gameplay seems ok but there seems to be a lot of lag.
Not that impressed with it but expected that these days. Be good laugh with mates though.

well my pre order arrived this morning, going to have to wait to install it as im doing a fresh format and backing up all my game saves is a ruddy nightmare.
Looking foreword to MP, bf3 was a little involved for me so mindless run and gun is going to make a nice change.
actually saying that portrays cod in the wrong light and i shouldn't do that really. the games mindless run and gun if you want it to be, playing tactical is possible you just have to want to play like that, you don't get that choice in other fps so its unfair to label it as its single style. either way im excited to get in and blast some little turds across the map.

I had to read this over a few times to comprehend it but MW3 is more fun than BF3 and scores well. What's money got to do with it?
Just because it's using a dated graphics engine people shouldn't buy it?

It's like saying Windows 7 is Windows NT - yes it is under the hood but much improved upon.
Yeah up to a point though obviously. If it had the graphics from COD 1, I doubt you'd be saying that.
I really do think that it is time Activision (or rather the developers they hire) either heavily upgrade this engine, or bring out a whole new one, for the next COD game, or at least MW4 in two years.
BF3 (even BC2 and Medal of Honor) have shown that time has moved on, graphics have improved significantly plus buildings and environments can be destructible like they would be in real life. Also they really need to improve the sounds, those aforementioned three games have much better audio than the COD games.

If they do this, I hope they only update graphics and not the gameplay. Nearly all games which have updated engines for sequels end up ruining the series.

I know what you mean. I think there are plenty of examples of where the change in gameplay has been for the better but I know it is a personal judgement.
I am realising after playing MW3 today that I am getting fed up of COD games
Only 7 hours into MW3 MP and the main reason I can give myself to continue playing is that I paid £35 and I ought to get my money's worth. Sad really.

agree, this is just a map pack with new single player scripted events. they got 9 million sales from it though? not a bad investment..
Yeah Half Life 2 was the first game I thought of when he said sequels are worse if they change the gameplay. HL2 utterly different engine to HL1 yet the game was improved out of sight in every department.
It's time COD had a similar level of revamp.
