** Official Carmageddon: Reincarnation thread **

I hope this isn't a disappointment.

Although, the fact that their site states "we don't talk about this" regarding TDR2000, that's a good sign! ;)

Keep the physics and gameplay identical to the original, but make the graphics prettier, and I'll be ecstatic!
 
The Carmageddon Website offers an "eyes on" look at redesign of the Eagle, of one of the vehicles for Carmageddon: Reincarnation, the upcoming motoring mayhem remake. They show the car in its original state, and go so far as to sneak out some early screenshots to show how it will appear in the new game.

Ooo that looks purdy... I did love the orig. I remember having it on my 1gb (yes gb) hardrive, and realise I could copy the cd to hd and install it from that instead of the disk and no longer need the cd in the drive. It sped up loading no end, and also left no room for any other games :(
 
Oh my word, Carmageddon is coming back! I'm really hoping this brings back the same level of emotion that this game gave me, when I was a child!

Nothing like being 10 or so years old and experiencing driving over sheep to keep the timer refreshed. Made me feel ALIVE. :|
 
As long as they stick close to the original game and don't try and modernize everything then this could be a great game!
 
Subscribing to this, only played the original briefly (in a nightclub of all places on PS1 on big screens against 3 others) and absolutely loved Carmageddon 2. Hope they do a good job :)

If you've only ever played it on PS1 then you've not played a proper Carmageddon game - the PS1 version wasn't great, however. I remember rushing out to get it when it was released, having loved the PC-based ones, but was very disappointed!

I'm still looking forward to a new Carmageddon, I hope it's somewhere near as good as first 2 on the PC.
 
Yeah, is a shame that I never got to play the first on PC, I was only just getting into PC gaming when it came out. Carmageddon 2 on the PC was epic though, especially with the patch to make the pedestrians human as opposed to zombies :).

This year is turning into a possible golden year for both console and PC games.
 
I never really liked Carmageddon 2. I thought all the silly stuff like repulsificators took away from the game a lot more. Also the pedestrians being made up of lots of parts seemed like fun at first until you plow your car through a few and dont kill them.
