***Official Crackdown 2 Thread***

I shall pick it up but to be honest i finished the first game or the story at least, after that i get bored running around collecting things.
Entertaining for the part but after so long i get bored, now if the multi player had some sort of death match? id be happy just running around with your mates can get old!

Although i do agree with the popping of car tyres! =)

Didn't realise this was coming so soon, haven't really been following game releases at all this year. Really looking forward to this, spent many, many hours on the first.

I'm not sure about it yet. Seems like a *******-child of Crackdown and Prototype - mutants running around giving you hassle, kinda preferred the idea of the first one when you were the most badass thing in the city.

It also seems to be totally grey compared to the relatively colourful first game.

4 player co-op though, hmm.

This may be a bit more refreshing to some of you:

Traversing the world offers the same feel as the original game. Players start with a sluggish Agent, who gains abilities by defeating enemies and collecting the game's scattered orbs -- 925 orbs to be exact. Orbs are split into various categories: standard and renegade agility orbs, driving orbs, and hidden orbs; and Xbox Live-only orbs that require at least one co-op partner to be in your game to unlock. Attempting to alleviate the frustration players had with locating the final orbs in the first game, Crackdown 2 features a HUD tracker mechanic somewhat similar to the shard detection system in inFamous. Tapping up on the D-pad flashes dots of orbs in the player's radius on the mini-map.

hmm, multiplayer only orbs sounds a little annoying. That minimap feature sounds good though. I'm still missing 3 agility orbs from the first :p

First one was great, a little repetitive but it ran and played amazing and this one should be even better so I am hooked, beats hunting for wild flowers in the middle of the desert.

Can't wait for this :)

NowGamer.com are reporting a demo is going to be released today :D :D

NowGamer.com said:
A demo of Ruffian Games' third-person action sequel is due to go live today and will enable players to experience the game's "accelerated Agent levelling, four-player co-op, and the ability to earn Demo Achievements," according to Microsoft.

Demo Achievements will be upgraded to the real thing if you go on to purchase the full game, out on July 9.

Good times :)

My live membership ran out last week. I stupidly thought I could use a 48 hour code to get access to the demo. FAIL. :(

Never really play on Live these days so I'll wait a while to get the demo.

The whole same map thing has put me right off!

Will try the demo, but the old one got boring half way through.

just been playing this ,more off the same but thats not a bad thing in my eyes anyway, shame its only 30 mins though.

Pulled this down lastnight and must say like the first one I love it. Only issue i had with the last one was I was late to the party because of worka nd being a 1star agent cooping with someone maxed out really took allot of the fun out of it.

I get back to the UK on the 9th as well so ill pick it up on the way home and try and get over my jetlag hunting agility orbs......

Didn't really like it tbh. I thought, visually, it looked a bit worse than the first. Granted there are more characters on screen, but still.

The aiming seems kinda off too. Can't really describe it, just feels like the camera is at the wrong angle when you aim.
