Game sets itself to very high automatically which was a surprising welcome at 1440p. Runs really nice as well but there is mouse lag although you do get used to it.
Graphically it's nice but IMO not as atmospheric as Metro Last Light. Especially the lighting.

The graphics are brilliant in this but i suffer a lot from frame rate dropping like hell.
Havent tried metro yet but its on my list.
I am enjoying this game. Just done a mission where you are destroying AA batteries or something...really good area.
It just needs a bit more care with the story and it could have been truly great imo, a little clarity as to what exactly you are doing, and why.
Performance is still a bit hit&miss though....I still get regular framerate drops for apparently no reason, but overall it is great. I just bought a new 7950, and it is always at 100%, and hasn't gone above 66degrees!

I've just finished Crysis 2 from the Humble EA Bundle and I'm thinking about getting Crysis 3 now.
I'm put off by the fact that you have to install Origin and have a permanent internet connection.
How have you all found playing with these restrictions?

I see your point but it doesn't answer my question, and I really don't want to kick off another pointless Steam vs Origin debate.
Recently started playing this and currently feeling under-whelmed by both gameplay and graphics.
The first part of the game was excellent visually and pretty good gameplay. Fighting humans! I was expecting crytek would have learned that people
don't like aliens by now and have got rid of them for good (the way the game was going I thought this was the case).
I was enjoying the game, until the part where you go out into the world "Welcome to the Jungle", the tall grass looks terrible the way it sways in the
wind... most of the graphics are good but not all of it, I think mainly the vegitation kills it. And then of course the aliens come back, why oh why

For the record I'm playing at all settings Very High except Shaders on Medium and Shadows on Low, no AA, at 1440p resolution.
Does the game improve or is it more of the same? (i.e. Crysis 2)

At 1440p there are pretty much no jaggies, AA isn't the issue, it's the rubbish swaying in the wind animation and the textures of the grass/vegitation.

Well, usually I don't really care about graphics too much, infact I usally play with lowest settings to get the most FPS and visibility (multiplayer at least). I guess I was just expecting more from Crysis 3 graphics wise.

No idea?!? Bought FC3, saw the question about Crysis 3 and I guess simply because FC3 was in my head, that's what I saw?!?

as I just started playing this again and seem to be only getting around 46fps with SLI 780ti's at the moment
I Lost all my saves from when it was first released so have to start all over again...
Anyone else still playing this ? Or am I the only person in the world to start playing this game again

Wow, I just completed this game for the first time. Its been on my list to play for a long time.
All I can say is it is a fantastic game and I thoroughly enjoyed it, the graphics were the best of any game of have played thus far and I much preferred the story line in this one as opposed to Crysis 2.
Running it on my 7990 I got an average of 55-60 fps with everything maxed out @1080p so I was pretty pleased with that.
