Was playing this yesterday and am a little disappointed. Should have realised the emphasis was going to be on the multi-player and the SP would suffer.
I have been playing a little over 4 hours and think I am near the end. Hardly any upgrades and only used the bow a few times. Hell, I could walk(sneak=cloak) through a lot of the game without the need to kill.
So for those of you who player online it is probably worth buying, but for those of us who don`t`, wait for the price to come down, probably worth a tenner.
Seems to be a bit of a pattern ME3, AC3 and now Crysis 3, 3rd time lucky does`nt seem to be the case.
But, this is just my opinion.

Thought as much, I found it for £24.54 hunter edition for a CD key that can be used on origin, I was tempted, still am as its more a tech demo I reckon, plus be the one game to push my laptop lol

It runs quite well on a R4 with 7970. Everything turned up at 1080p and it all runs nice. It's the game is just crap and offers nothing exiting. Visually it seems to be at the same level as Crysis 2 with the high res Dx11 update. They have just chucked in some wavy grass.
 
Visually its a good chunk better looking than Crysis 2, the screenshots have been flat out wowing people on most forums ive seen them posted on whereas crysis 2 didn't get near that kind of response, if anything people thought part 2 was substantially dumbed down compared to Crysis 1.

Not sure how people can say its "Crysis 2 with a bow and arrow", theres more freedom for a start, you're obviously not gonna get the same level of freedom as you do on a tropical island but its not nearly as linear as Crysis 2. Crysis 1 had its fair share of linear gameplay segments as well but it didn't seem to get picked up on as much for some reason.

And you could also do that in Crysis, so why was that not an issue in Crysis and it suddenly is in Crysis 3? :confused: I think the rose tinted spectacles have come into play a few years on from the original game.

No real harm in making another thread, but don't be surprised if it gets moved / closed. :)

I'll defo play this once it drops in price. Certainly looks decent. Can't wait to see what the modders bring to the table! :cool: :D
 
i unlocked it with a vpn just to see how it runs and 20fps at 1600p (max settings) made me a sad panda :( . will be playing with the settings tonight.

Upgrade to a 7xxx series and you get it free :D
 
got it pretty cheap off someone selling from their AMD bundle. looking forward to playing it but sad to know how much stuff i am going to have to turn down to get it to run at 60FPS
