What ATI drivers is everyone using?
What ATI drivers is everyone using?
I am playing it on 1680x1050 all on very high except one which is on high and 4xaa.
I wish I could play at 2560x1600
Also SLI is not supported yet. So just one card working I assume.
8800Ultra's in SLISo what you all think would give me the best performance increase upgrade for Crysis

Best upgrade you can do for a game is a faster videocard, SLI does not work (yet) AFAIK so that leaves a 8800GT/GTX/Ultra but the difference is small. Now I spent a fair bit of cash on this Rig and am wondering what I can do to increase the performance?
Shadows and Shaders mostly, I reckon. There isn't much difference in the Shadows either, from Very High to High or High to Medium, on Low I can't see any Shadows at all.
You people make me laugh.
On my rig thats like over a year old or more...Can't even remmeber now I got it that long ago, crysis run's fine, I first left it on the autodetected setting's (which is medium) It ran fine...
I then upped it to high, it ran fine.
It's a pre-release demo, there's thing's called patches, nearly every game has them. (See that..."Nearly", I say nearly cause I know not every game has had a patch)
Probably get quoted to buggery here but hey, I just find it highly amusing
Each to they're own.
After you finished the demo then you can play it again via the editorhahaha! I must try out this editor later

only this time you can add loads of goodies such as a tank, couldn't get any choppers to fly properly as the controls are greyed out in the demo.
For them that aren't sure -you load the editor & then click file/open /island/
island.cry. let it load & then go right down on to the beach & start experimenting with drag & dropping stuff in such as a tank & extra weapons etc. then its cntrl & G to drop yourself in,
the game will suddenly pick up where you are & the AI will appear as per the demo
Altho its windowed you can wide screen it by clicking the little symbol in the top corner of the rollup bar or by dragging the r/hand side over & remove the toolbars in 'view' so you get full screen![]()
Well,
Would a lower resolution and higher settings make it look better?
Cheers
