Official Crysis Demo thread

I'm on 4mb virgin and they cap me to 2mb if I download more than 750mb between 4 - 12pm

which really sucks these days considering most demos are now in the region of 500mb-1.5GB

I bet Crysis demo will be more than a GB easily.

ah just noticed the countdown is now synced, looks like late night for me then and PC on while I Sleep:) hehe

How does that work, you can make any level you want and use it with the demo? Is that just plain scenery or in theory could people create an entire game themselves to play on the demo and distribute.

Im guessing no but old timers may remember the original doom demo was basically setup this way

apparently the early EA release is in .viv format which can only be installed with the EA downloader, which confirms if you've have got it pre-ordered.
bummer......looks like its gunna be saturday or late 2nite (midnight) before its finally surfaces.:confused:

"Tonight (October 25th 23:00 UTC/GMT) the demo has been released through EA Link (former EA Downloader) for users thats have preordered Crysis on EA Store
There is a 24 Hour Exclusive on the Single Player Demo for those users.

When the demo will be public? We don't know. There isn't any official statement about it.
If the 24h hour exclusive is correct, it will be public on October 26th 23:00 UTC/GMT)
We have to wait..."

Apparently new nvidia drivers are being released today to coinside with the demo release. Hopefuly performance will iincrease because 7-10 FPS on very high DX 10 is shocking for saying crysis is supposed to be very well optimised.

this is utter crap. First it gets delayed a month 2 days or so before release, then they announce the new date as the 26th and now it looks like the tards won't be able to even stick to that.

They always said that 'Very High' would bring modern rigs to their knees.

All the demo's you've seen running are on 'High'.
