The UT3 demo was a "beta demo" as well. I just means it's pre-release. So they can turn round and say "but its a beta!!!!11" if they want to.

wow them cod4 screenshots look amazing.....i remember the demo looking good but not that good.....cant quite remember but im guessing we were limited on graphical detail in the demo ?

in those SS ...cod4 looks better than crysis which also looks amazing. i guess its a good time to be a pc gamer right now lol

COD4 demo was limited to NORMAL settings.

How does that work, you can make any level you want and use it with the demo? Is that just plain scenery or in theory could people create an entire game themselves to play on the demo and distribute.

Im guessing no but old timers may remember the original doom demo was basically setup this way

I'm not even going to contemplate trying Crysis again until I have a 9800GTX, I'm not going to ruin my enjoyment of what could be potentially a really good game running it at below par resolutions and frame rates, all I can say is I bet the graphics card manufactures are loving this game.

You have a rig, that some people would be jealous of, you have an 8800GTX, one of the best cards out at the moment! The beta isnt really a good representation because it wasn't optimised

That wasnt actually official lol, just that a lot of people caught on to it and belived it to be official, :rolleyes:

Im aware it wasn't official,just don't see the point of a site having a timer like they're somehow in the know when clearly theyre as clueless as the rest of us
