Official Crysis Demo thread

Mines downloading but very slowly. And the peer with the highest download is only at 70.2% so not looking good. Let's hope the seeder gets off his arse and lets us get the rest of it.
 
So what else is on the horizon apart from Crysis, I've played the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare demo and got addicted to that tank buster thingy wotsit that shoots up into the air like a roman candle & then lands on a target KABOOM! ... I want some more of that.
 
I stuck a support question on EA and half an hour later the demo appeared in the download manager. Also I got an email updating me about it's availability. Not sure if they did something or not....
 
that "beta demo" thing is for cover their backs in case of the demo had some problems (like now LOL ). Now they can say... its because its a "beta"..... beta my a%&$...
 
I may be talking rubbish but from what I remember the Far Cry demo suffered from poor performance and bugs when it was released.

I don't remember that being the case

the level with the beach ran fine on a 3200+ xp
1gb ram and 9800pro, infact i played the whole game on that pc and it was fine at high settings.

There might have been bugs but performance was very good throughout.

I remember playing the farcry demo on a 32meg mx440 (ddr1), wasnt great but played quite nicely. The AI was decent on that too


Whats the chances of crysis working on a 8500le you reckon :D
