I got a ps3 hey but it doesnt seem to work. Is the ps3 beta live yet? Might have to try and get a pc one as well. You guys all get the pc one?

Edit: Didn't realise it was for North America. Will just create a sub account for that area and give it a try then.

There are still PS3 ones if that is any good?

Anyone who is playing. Are the different classes much the same?

Most MMO's have different classes for different roles but these look mostly the same. Is it more complicated than it looks?

I am not sure why he is moaning as it is subscription based.

Didn't work out for LOTR's though did it :p

Just because they are free to the player doesnt mean that the developer can't make money out of the game if they do it smart. In a game like this they could easily just sell advertising. And if it takes off those adverts could be seen by 4-10million people every day which is better than some tv shows.

This way they would still make money and invest in new material to keep the masses and the advertising companies happy.

I hope they expand the character creator at some point as it can feel limited atm. I did manage to pass off a passing resemblance to Spawn though

I haven't really done much yet other than create a bunch of characters with different power sets, can't really see much difference in them just going through the tutorial as they all mostly just use the weapon attacks so far. Although the first fire AoE was kinda cool.

I got another key when i got mine and gave it to a mate, then found out the one i gave him is for the full beta with lvl 30 cap with the main testers and mine is only for the servers that pre-orders and promo's are on with a lvl 20 cap... gutted lol.

Ah no fair lol. I got my key from Jim Lee on Twitter. He was giving away keys like everyday. I was very lucky to get one. It's on the PVE 1 server with a lvl 30 cap. My main character is lvl 30 and I have been busy raiding with a lot of other people to get all the iconic gears. It can get tiresome lol.

Like last night we were doing the Brainiac Sub Construct. After 4 attempts we gave up. The strange thing is I was with another group of people and we completed it no bother. So I think this time it was because we had people who were not fully geared for it.

So for those who want to know, in order to get the Tier 1 iconic gears (all of Flash iconic gear for metas for example), do duos and alerts and raids to get Badges of Triumph. To get the Tier 2 iconic gears (Superman iconic gears and Batman iconic gears) you do only the Outer Caverns, Batcave and Brainiac Sub Construct. These three are actually a story line in which Batman eventually is overtaken by the OMAC virus by Brainiac. With the big showdown against the Coluan himself. It can get brutal. lol. I got some pics that I will be posting soon :)

And one other thing, for those 3 raids I mentioned, you need tons and I mean tons of cash for repairs. I know people who have burnt upto 5K in repairs.
 
Damn, that sounds a bit grindy. I'm a little disappointed that iconics are tied to your mentor as there doesn't seem a whole lot of difference in choice there.

I might swap accounts with my mate as he hasn't played yet anyway so i can play on the lvl 30 cap servers, he'll grumble but hey i had to pay for one of the keys lol. I'll probably roll on the PvP server, is it the same on those ones as it is on servers 3 and 4 as in they camp the lvl threes coming outta the tutorial? I found that a bit annoying, i don't mind open world PvP but camping people coming out of the tutorial seemed a bit much as it's not as though this is Darkfall :p
