F86 is a lot of fun but man, they could have at least included a bit of training - although admittedly the systems dont seem overly complex after youve been pushing buttons for hours in the A10C.

Anyone flying on servers?

F86 is a good laugh to fly ... but
betasimtek who "released" it have a habbit of NOT finishing stuff properly once they get your money eg huey still has some stuff needing sorted , MI-8 as well

So don't hold your breath for any training missions

Seems like they are switching focus back them now, after the Mig-15 release. No details however....

Hawk is not worth it in its current state, massively disappointed by it, they have not been clear just how alpha it is at the moment and it wouldn't be worth £30 even when finished and with EFM. It's just not detailed enough to demand that price tag, so much so that I'm tempted to ask for my money back as its unflyable in its current state and just not DCS quality IMO.

On the other hand, having an X-55 has made so much difference to my flying skill, didn't this it would be as much of an improvement over the x52 as it has been!

Finally done it!!!! Hours of practice required but sort of worth it:

Congrats! I cant do it, tried it a few times with different planes. One - I dont bother with trim (just don't have enough buttons on the joysitck) and two - I use MSFF2 with its tiny throttle which is not suitable for the needed tiny adjustments. What's your joystick/HOTAS?

X-55, it's only since I've had this one that ive been able to do it, the stick and throttle are spot on, prefer the rigidity of it compared to the X-52 and the extra buttons mean I'll probably never have to replace it.

Only fault I can have with it is the stiffness of the throttle when you adjust the tension, you need to pump it a few times to loosen it off before flying, oh and theres no slider, which I used to use for speedbrakes on the X-52.

It's must easier to do in the F16, the Hog tends to wallow like mad which makes keeping contact hard.

Looks like the thrust master warthog got a reduction in the shop page if anyone is still unsure, I have tried the x52,x55 and now the TM warthog.

All were good but the warthog unsurprisingly has been the best for DCS although having the rudder pedals is a bit of logistics headache.

Nate any sign of the big update......lurkio any sign of the big update?

I like to get the optimistic and pessimistic timeframe :D

Would be very cool if we got everyone together once it releases, Nate, Lurkio, Marker, Richiesimms, and the others who post here to have a fun night flying, even Huey formations.

The guys I play with are not interested as it is a bit too dense and gear dependent which means I barely fly.

£257 + pedals I don't have is still a bit much for me tbh, I weighed up just stumping up the cash and decided I'll never justify the cost so settled with the X55 when it was £120 a couple of weeks ago.

I wouldnt mind joining up with someone for some coop if you fancied it, I'm not bad at the old up down forwards back bit, just have to get back into the DSMS and engagement side of it if you dont mind having a noob along for some practice.
