*** Official DCS World Thread ***

yeah I can't wait either, played a lot of the 1.5 beta, but I'm fed up of the whole area now - so looking forward to NTTR,

:) Will it go live this weekend?
Last chance to preorder, the map and the graphics engine have no rivals so its a no brainer purchase imho. Cant wait to buzz Vegas suburbia :)

Will it go live this weekend ? .... hmmm tough one that

But if we were to look at past experience of ED release dates
Which, lets face it if a release date was a barn door and ED had a sawn off shotgun, they would probably still miss it from 2 feet away

Dear all,

As we prepare for the launch DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range Open Alpha Map, I wanted to inform you how the product will be released in order to avoid confusion on the launch day (shooting for November 30th, 2015).

When you purchase and download the new map, you will essentially be installing a new, stand-alone build. This unique Open Alpha build will consist of DCS World 2.0 and the Nevada map. All modules will install within the Nevada map Open Alpha as they do with the release and Open Beta versions.

The current release version and Open Beta will stay intact.

Once the Nevada map exits the Alpha stage, it and DCS World 2.0 will be merged into the stable, release version of DCS World or the Open Beta (TBD).

Thanks

I got it, trouble is it doesn't look like it's available in the module manager yet... hopefully it will show up soon!

not much different here, I'm on Hyperoptic 1Gbps lol, I'm seeding at like 30-40MBps, but downloading at 2-4MBps.. I've got gym at 6pm for an hour, so hopefully when I come back it'll be done :)

so how do I get this on steam then, considering I was a alpha tester for A10C?

I don't think it's available through Steam yet, (not for a few weeks according to people on the forums) if you copy your key from steam, you can paste it into the DCS website and use their module manager,

My 16gb of RAM and the new shiny SSD have not arrived yet :( Will download and test on my current system anyway... Cant believe this is finally happening though -yeeesss :)

Edit: download speed 3.5Mb/s, with 17gb to go - not too bad.

urgh ,

I've got it - finally downloaded all 24GB of the NTTR map,

but for some reason when I start - (try to load the Nevada instant action missions) if I start any of them the game immediately hangs at the menu and crashes,

any idea? :/

Try with a different plane/module? Did you activate it with your code?
I've still got 5gb to go and speed dropped to 30kb/s :|
