*****Official Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution discussion thread*****

I've just finished my first playthrough. 29hrs, with 2 side missions missed.

I got Foxiest of the Hounds, Legend, and a load of other achievements but missed out on getting Pacifist. I relaxed a bit on the 'no kills' thing after I reached China after realising that I was already screwed due to killing in the prologue. I've only killed a handful of people though regardless.

Next up I'll do the Pacifist playthrough properly.

I was playing pacifist until I realised sometimes its more fun to kill people and use guns.

A game with no use of guns may as well be like broken sword or some crap....I prefer rpg/fps

21 hr before the second boss is easily possible.

I think I was at around 20 by the second boss. Though I don't see how you could take much longer as this was a full on 'hack everything, go everywhere, takedown everyone' playthrough that took quite a long time with lots of backtracking and simple encounters that you could probably shoot through took many times longer to do. Really by that point you are just dawdling.

I was going to try and play the whole game without killing anyone as well but after a few missions I realised I was just making life hard for me hehe

That depends. Not killing people isn't making life hard. Wanting to KO everyone is, especially some areas. But it is funny to work your way around a complex set of enemies and taken them all down without anyone seeing.

Looking forward to my third playthrough. I won't KO or kill anyone but bosses.

Jesus, that's gonna be tough. My second playthrough (first was no alarms, hardly any kills) is a no kills, no alarm one but not KOing anyone is gonna get tough if you've got guards stood near security panels you need to access. Good luck...

Are you playing on hard too?

Not started yet but honestly I think it'll just be a nice challenge. Won't be able to do any quest that involves combat which will lose me a bit of exp. Pretty much everywhere can either be past using Cloak or has a mixture of alternative routes for hacking, jump height, lift weights, icarus or rebreather.

And i've always played on hard :p

Only for remaining undetected briefly (while you shoot someone in the face or takedown them). For completely avoiding people its pretty vital. Will need some Run/Sprint Silent and will actually have to buy some energy jars from limb clinics I think.

Can someone tell me how far through i am, been playing 12 hours exploring pretty much every nook and cranny, i've just gotten and completed the sub quest in the hive, and now on my way to steal some card thingy while some bloke gets it on apparently?

Also i've only faced 1 boss up to now

Are the silencer kits quite well hidden i've been after one since the start but still not come across one?

Theres 1 in Detroit :p

Can't remember if its at a merchant or in a safe or in some other locked room but its definitely there.

Which is why as Tefal said, the endings should show you how the world was warped no matter what your choice into Deus Ex. Unless they do actually plan to do another between HR and Deus Ex, though the 'end of credits' audio thing doesn't leave a lot of room.

;) Thought there's probably more than one hidden around I'd bet.
