*****Official Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution discussion thread*****

51 hours? And not not even on the 2nd boss? Yeah you've been afk >< It isn't physically possible to spend that much time in the 2 hubs short of checking every corner 5 times over.

Thought some might me interested in this mod to enable a debug menu to add items and things.

It also disables intros and i think it had cured the stuttering issue i will have to play for longer to see if that is true as i have only been playing with this mod for about 5mins.

You have to overwrite a file but make sure to back it up.

As i have just completed the game it will be nice to be able to add weapons and mods etc too have a little fun with the game on my second playthrough :).

I would love a mod that actually put numbers to the weapon stats. And preferably more upgrades to be available. Creating a single super-weapon isn't hard by end-game but its a very slow process and leaves very little for anything else. Especially given that my Pistol does more damage to armoured enemies than my Crossbow!

Not sure if someone has posted this already guys: DLC coming in October

So... you go through until then with say, full Inventory, and you are then going to manage without those extra inventory slots for a bit? That sounds a bit dumb.
This sounds all too much like a twist on the MJ12 Facility from Deus Ex.

Must admit I'm getting a bit skeptical as to how exactly they can just slip this DLC in mid-game without ****ing with the storyline.

Yeah, they must have a way around an inventory thing. Otherwise it will totally mess things up.

I'm not sure how it will work either, but it certainly sounds interesting. I'm sure we will get more details nearer the time.

Ok... I thought dropping off a walkway, stunning 3 people with Icarus, then running around and KO'ing 5 people with non-lethal takedowns before anyone could fire a shot was awesome.

But this is just hilarious.

Carrying a turret that is set to hostile while it guns people down for free (even if the damage it causes is pathetic by this point). Its an absolute classic.

To some extent, although nothing like the same level as Fallout. It's much closer to something like Thief 3 if you placed that. There are certain areas (hubs) in the game you can go and explore to your heart's conent, but each of them probably only contains a max of about 10 buildings you can explore. You're also railroaded into following the narrative after a while. If free roaming and the ability to do your own thing indefinitely is your thing then you probably want to look elsewhere.

For a weapon that can launch someone 5m into the air and pin them to the roof its slightly stupid that it deals less damage than the Pistol vs armoured foes.

Thanks for that :)

I mite wait then for a steam sale to get it later next year.

Bf3 beta out soon anyways I hope :D

Cheers.

My first playthrough was 28 hours in total, but i never try and do everything on my first playthroughof a game, i usually save it for another. I even purposely did not do 2 side missions and if you were giving me marks out of ten for exploring it would probably be 7 so i probably have a fair bit of content for my next play(which will probably be with the first piece of dlc)

PS I was talking to someone earlier who thinks we might get another hub as the first piece of dlc, i know it is the boat ride to Singapore but maybe we get to explore a bit of Singapore?
