It's a practise in mouse-fu, activate multiple nodes at the same time, protect your base node and any directories you activate. If you can get away with it, activate a few nodes before the alarm goes off (don't protect nodes until this happens).

Also make sure you know what route the computer will take before you start.
 
Didnt preorder this but decided to buy it today while i was out shopping, got the augemented edition retail box and have to say the box and bonus content all look very lovely :p

Only played for about 2 hours and decided to try an get through the game with all non-lethal methods and as stealthy as i can :D

I suppose it depends on what you mean by shortly. Digital (on PC) has already long overtaken retail in volume of sales. Even when I was on a 3.5mb ADSL line I preferred to buy to download rather than get a physical copy. Now that I am on a 37.5mb line, there's no competition.

Have you seen the PC sections in Gamestation and Game? You have to look quite hard to find them, they are so small. I think eveyone agrees, it a question of when rather than if games become download only.
 
I'm gonna start playing at about 9pm. Probably go for second easiest difficulty for first playthrough(as i usually do in games)

I would have started earlier, but i'm really hung up on the Original. This has probably been my most enjoyable playthrough, haven't played it in around 5 years. I'm not going to bother finisginf it before though, as i just want to get in to HR.

Lol, mouse-fu is the most accurate description yet. I really don't get why they didn't attached WASD to the 4 perfectly ideal directions for activating commands on nodes. The minimum 15% chance is really annoying too.
 
What would be an ideal FOV for 16:10 (specifically 1680x1050)? I used 100/110 on old Quake 3 engine games, but I've never played anything more modern that I felt required or allowed me to change the FOV.
 
Just picked up a copy from Harrods on the way home, they didn't have the Aug one so ended up with the Limited Edition with Explosive Mission Pack. Installing now using the old "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe"\ -install D:
 
Just installed my copy and I keep getting a message saying it won't run with my settings. Annoying as it ran the leaked version fine. I could drop the settings to low but what's the point? Time to shelve it (along with The Witcher 2) until I upgrade my ageing 4890 ...

4890 is still a decent card tbh. I would expect to run it on high really.

Actually, are you trying to run it on Directx11, as that might be your problem mate

I think the DirectX 11 was redded out, I'll check. I've turned AA off completely and it runs the game. Time to start turning things up until I break it :)

Edit - Edge AA works, that's good enough for me :D

GAME failed to deliver :( Got a shipment confirmation email from them on Saturday and the game still isn't here. Their website is down as well so can't track the damn thing.
 
Just finished the game there. Going to watch the alternate endings now :)

What a game! Simply fantastic. And, watch the credits all the way through when you finish. It's worth it when you reach the end...
