*****Official Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution discussion thread*****

How long is this game? Will i get the same or more play time as the first Deus Ex?

I don't think its as long as Deus Ex 1 but it all Depeneds on if u do all the side quests and explore lasted about 8 hours for me thou my steams says 14 sometimes I would pause it

Which it is active i know how to do that i aint that stupid :p, Everything is ticked off on it except locate Weapon Cache which i think i have found as there is a box in the room called Weapon Shipment click e to grab it and nothing happens even if i have the space >.<

Oh misunderstood. You don't pick anything up.

That cache is a little awkward, you have to use it like a regular item but it can be picky over where you can be to be able to activate it. If you are doing that and its not updating then it must've bugged...

Nah i worked it out thats just a phantom item so to speak you dont pick it up, You find his other weapons cache thats just evidence you mark for Jenny it would appear.

So far not done the actual quest just side ones hehe love it!

I'm not sure how you managed that without missing huge parts of the game. I did all side quests and explored, hacked most computers and took a stealth non lethal approach and managed 27 hours according to steam.

I wouldn't say I wandered around doing nothing either my exploration was always on the way to or from missions.

8 hours? Think ill wait till it comes down in price... a lot!

No, get it. It's a very good game and I find it incredibly hard to believe you could complete the game in 8 hours without severely rushing or skipping side-quests. I've only done the first main mission and two side-quests and am already 14 hours in (spent ages on it last night and into the early hours of the morning - couldn't believe it was 4:10am when it had just gone 1am the last time I checked the time ). I also haven't had any long AFK periods while playing the game, so my 14 hours clocked on Steam is almost entirely game time.

I did all sides quest apart from one that I missed.
Games are normaly aimed for the 8 hour slot or less as they look at it as if its to long people lose interest.

I personally think it would have been impossible for me to finish in anything under 20 hours and that would be powering through without issues, which I had plenty of on the hardest setting. Had all hints a tipped turned off.

The level of detail put into the games in terms of emails, books, alternative ways to complete missions I doubt the devs were aiming for people to finish in that time or why bother creating all that extra.

Maybe with the tell me a story setting it might be possible, but do pcgamers really want to do that, instead of having a challenge.

Just been asked to go to a warehouse, 7 Hours total, been exploring etc just think its a great game plus died allot i need to get the armor perk so saving up some praxis points

I'm 10 hours in and just did the bonus pre order mission, so i'm about halfway though.

Also playing on the hardest difficulty and trying to get the no kill and no alarms set off achivements.

When does the bonus mission appear? Not in my side quests yet all but i put codes in that game with my retail copy
