Official DFI NF4Ultra-D/SLi owners thread.

stuck the new bios on for the board and it all works a treat now:) yay!
used xp+sp2 as well...

just need to finish setting everything up now.

was a proper mission getting myself a bootable floppy though, as this pc wouldnt boot for me to create one and none of the pcs in my office have floppy drives.. had to go for a trek round a mates and get him to do one for me!

1st step... install cs:s and see how much better it runs:D

just got my mobo yesterday kind of worked out how to change mem timings and also multiplyer and fsb but how do i change cpu volts and how do i tell which bios revision i got , sorry for the basic questions

from what i can remember... the voltage settings are all under that genie bios page...

although now ive got a new problem... i cant get my memory to run at 1t! It used to run at 1t in my old machine, but windows wont boot with it at 1t anymore:(

spose i should update my sig as well:D

Thanks for that i found it in the end , on the issue of 1T or 2T how do you swap between the two in bios

If You go into the bios and turn off the DFI logo at boot then re boot it and it'll tell you in the bottom left. :) I'm sure someone will give you a more detailed description but mine should do the job :)

That's the award revision, not the BIOS itself. 310 stands for the date in American format. i.e. 310 is 3/10/05 (10/3/05 in UK format) BIOS. Just look at the date in CPU-z and it will give you BIOS revision. I'm on 510 i.e. 10/5/05 bios. Hope this helps :)

thanks for the help it looks like 125 then wow thats quite old for a new mobo i will have to flash it , what do you recommend with my ram

its not unsual.my mate just got one with that old bios too. as said depending on tccd or utt/bh-5.

go with the 510s as they have some fixes over the 414s.

whereabouts do you get the 510 bios from? on dfis website i can only find the 310...

ahh i found it... its a beta version? Is that stable or any better than the 310?

yes and yes.the official is a bit out of date now and a few issues have been fixed in the 414,509 and 510s. we need a new official if thats the way you want to go but better with the latest imo anyway. ;)

well just stuck the 510 on...

still doesnt let me boot in 1t though, although instead of just restarting the pc when windows trys to load it gives me a bsod now... progress? :S

Would increasing the vdimm let me run at 1t?
