Official DFI NF4Ultra-D/SLi owners thread.

Why dont you just stick the standard HSF for the moment and see what you can do with the Zalman...

TBH Id rather change the HSF than the memory as memory with heatspreaders is usually of similiar size so no doubt this issue will reoccur...

Something like the XP-90 may be more easier to fit with all memory modules filled...

Panic over :) I swapped the memory for my son's OCZ PE and now the Zalman fits fine. Works out well cos he's an Asus A8V and the memory slots are far anough away from the CPU and he's got the see through side panel and can see the Corsair LEDs flashing away.

Phew! :D

I have this mobo(ultra-d) up and running, but cant get into windows with dual channel, slots 2+4, using 1gb Geil Ultra-X

So i'm having to use single channel slots1+2 :(

I've flashed to 310 bios but no luck either.

What can I do?

Just thought i would share:

FX55
2 x512 Corsair TwinX 3200 LL 2-6-3-2 1T
Bios 310 using Orange slots for Memory

All working together Fine,

Only issues so far.

Ati X850XT PE , I had to lift the back of the card slightly from the Top slot as it was trapping the Fan on the Chipset, Without reading the whole thread, im not sure if its just me with this problem.

Just running stock for now, while testing stability.

This is on the Sli-D version

I had that problem too, and since I'm not using the DVI I unscrewed the bottom monitor plug screw thing that the vga cable screws into.

u don't need to use the config wizard, just start MBM5 and it will display the correct temps, voltages etc.

So you people would say the 3.10 offical bios is the best one ?

Tight mem timmings I would be planning on running.

I got a SLI-DR setup yesterday and this is the first time Ive looked into the stock bios and such. Just need to find a decent bios to flash to.

I would suggest a seperate thread in the OCing forum might bring greater rewards. Not being able to reach the same o/c as the previous owner could mean a few different things aside from the mobo...
