Official DFI NF4Ultra-D/SLi owners thread.

Have you tried the DFI forums? - pretty sure theres a load of info there - its very difficult to run through all of the BIOS settings without having a specific focus - why I suggested a new thread...

Just had a look at DFI Street and I think these 3 links should help you further and point you in the right direction:

Hopefully that should get you on track...

Hi there all.

I need some guidance on how to set my new rig up properly. Im new to AMD so I have a little learning to do!

My new rig consists of:
DFI SLI-DR mobo
2x6800GT's
1xWinnie 3200+ (week 46 tpaw)
1xGig of GSkill PC4800LA

I have managed to format the hard disk and install a fresh copy of Windows onto it and done a few updates. I have noticed that it has randomly reset a couple of times giving me a memory error or something. But I guess it is because its not set up right in the bios perhaps. Im using the bios that came with the mobo.
Can someone give me some steps to configure my bios for my setup?

Any help would be really, really appreciated!

:)

make sure you have the molex and the floppy power supply leads plugged into the MOTHERBOARD m8(beside the pci-3 slot)
plugging these in for me seemed to stop my bsods/restarts.

if you have got them plugged in,then try a bit more power through your ram.

Can anyone confirm if the Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200XL Platinum TwinX (2x512MB) CAS2 works in this board, and whether it needs a bios flash to do so or not?

It works, and you need bios 310 to run any 2 sticks of memory :)

Cool thanks, but i should be able to boot up from just one of these sticks, update the bios, then put both in?

im running BIOS 414-2. have OCZ VX seem to run well but just wondered would i be better off with the 310/310p?

Have you tried 414-3?, it allowed my vx to go from 260 to 265.

Hi I,ve been running 1 gig of gskill le on my rig but i'm going to try 4*512mb sticks of khx3500,CH5, they happily do 240@2,2,2,5 in pairs but what bios do you think i should try, I'm on 414-1 now. Gonna try this bios first but was wondering if anybody had been using 4*512mb sticks with the winchester.

Hmm im at 282 @ 2.5-3-3-7 @ 2.8V but, I have one, yes one error after 30 loops (pass 15 pf test 8), If its okey till 60 loops could it have just been a sudden voltage drop or is it just slightly failing?

Well I tried 4*512mb ch-5 and have just learned how to hot flash a bios chip LOL.

It worked on 166 divider but wouldn't work any higher and I mashed the bios.

So I think i'll wait till venice is out, sell the ch-5 and get another gig of LE
