Official DFI NF4Ultra-D/SLi owners thread.

funnily enough my memory can run to 229mhz now whereas before in my old A8V i was stuck at 210mhz. how weird is that? i thought the onboard CPU memory controller did all that? obviously the mobo still has an effect on the memory controller?

Does anyone know the easiest way with software that you can control the speed of your northbridge fan on you mobo?

smartguardian. comes with the DFI mobo. :)

or download it from their website.

i used it to knock the northbridge to 4400rpm and its loads quieter now!!! it was only at about 5000rpm before so 600 rpm is a little less for a lot less noise.

I think I will give that a go then. Is it easy to set up?

Will these boards support San Diego core right out of the package ? I've not bought the board yet but I will be getting the SLI-DR :)

Errm I think the Venices will work out of the box but the San Diagos dont AFAIK, I may be wrong!

Trick: If you get pauses in games up you chipset/LDT voltage a step until it goes :) (may have been posted before).

According that that DFI-street site..San Diego's work on the BIOS from 25th of Jan 05. So they should work on the newer boards with the newer BIOS installed :D

Ordered my DFI-Ultra-D NF4 today along with the Enermax Noisetaker 485w ATX 2.0 PSU! Just waiting on my 3700 San Diego and I need to decide on a GPU!

Does anyone know if this will fit on the ultra-d board? Or Even the £323 OCUK-Value XT PE?
