yeah all down to the A64 mem controller.remember with the bartons how clockspeed had nowt to do with bandwidth.

James looking good there son. ;)
What cooling you using?

God dammit how do you know my name :o

XP-120 with YS-TECH 120x120x36 @ 8V... probably soon to be 9-10V lol..

Done!

Im now testing with S&M for 66 mins, then I will up it to 2.9ghz.

37.9C load now, I upped the fan speed.

Concorde

Edit: 45.1C load :o

S&M doesnt that just burn you up and not the CPU??? :p
lol what is this BOINC,S&M etc out side of the gimp world?

those voltages you give James, are they from what you selected in BIOS or from the actual shown in windows by CPU-Z etc?
im priming 2864MHz at 1.49V actaul atm.

Set in BIOS, dam you with your water, Im currently speccing a CPU cooling rig now, 120.2 with some hefty fans! muhahahah

Concorde @ 2.86ghz @ 46.3C load :o

yup 120.2 here but just 2x120mm silenx fans are ample, eheim 1250, tank-o-matic res, RBX waterblock.but its the maze4 on this X850XTPE@600/600 24/7 which adds the heat to the loop.

currently 2.86GHz@41C full load.

bah at 1.52V (actual) 2.9GHz isnt stable.
2.88GHz appears to be rock stable though 42C full load.
so since raising from 1.36V at 2.77GHz only gained 110MHz with .15V.
still this does seem to be standard for the decent SDs.
phase change for 3GHz+ it seems though might make it on water without load temp exceeding 46C. definitely going to try for it but will burn in CPU at 2.88GHz for a day or so as Concorde, no sorry James :p, SD seemed to have improved o/c after some burn in.

conc as for watercooling, definitely go for it mate. ;)

Yes, slight money situation atm, some ****** did that reverse money thing on paypal, got the money into the bank quick enough but in -£170 now

Now my dad wont sell anything so Im stuck with NF7-S, 80Gb SATA HD and a 3000+ Winnie  and Im -£170 :(

However on a lighter side, 2.86ghz seems stable @ 1.50V gonna add 22mhz to that now ;)

that sucks mate.was that guy on these forums?just sell it yourself and dont accept paypal, bank transfer only which need to clear.

im looking very stable at 2.88GHz 1.52V, cant remember what that was in BIOS, you should check your actaul voltage with cpuz etc as some board overvolt and some under so itd be interesting, for me anyway, to know exactly what voltage your CPU is managing those clocks on.

Yeh it sucks, we got the money into a bank and then my dad sent it . Not on here tho.

I cant get £80 for my winnie on here, I could quite easily on you know where :(

CPU-Z says 1.456V, adding 2mhz to the FSB now for a total of 2.88ghz

well so it is only 1.456V then. that makes your o/c even better then.Im sure you will get 2.9GHz on actual 1.5V.
cant find your earlier post when you said you could now get higher at a ceratin voltage than you could before.what was that clockspeed and voltage that originally wouldnt be stable and therfore how much better is your chip now after a little burn in?want to know what to expect here.

2.88ghz with 1.525V, reached a max of 46C during the test.

Friday, the chip wouldn't get into windows @ 2.8ghz with 1.50V
Today im at 2.88Ghz @ 1.525V
