No m8 sent it to back to DFI

Mine took over 3 weeks to get back, took nearly 2 weeks to register on there RMA status.

2.88ghz with 1.525V, reached a max of 46C during the test.

Friday, the chip wouldn't get into windows @ 2.8ghz with 1.50V
Today im at 2.88Ghz @ 1.525V

ahh thats the one.good good.is that really 1.525 or is that BIOS and really about 1.49V in CPUZ?

saftlad, not sure, but my DFI RMA only took about 2 weeks all in so never tried to check.how long has it been?

lol, in settings drag the processor check time to long and load: 100%, then back to Processor check tab, unselect power Supply and click start, the first 3 tests are 41C load for me, but once on the CPU (FPU) test 47.1C it is

Oh and btw, 2.88GHz, CPU-Z and CBID reports the voltage as: 1.476V

Yes I use that- supposed to be as stressful as Prime but tells you what you want (or don't want) to know in 30 minutes

My results @ 2.88ghz - 1.525V

Going for 2.9ghz now.

yeah nice.and you still havent pushed 1.5V through it(actual not BIOS )

2.9GHz at 1.5V definitely on for you.

These Sandy's scale very oddly with voltage.

E.g
2725mhz stable with 1.4v
2800mhz stable with 1.425v
2850,hz stable with 1.525v
2900mhz stable with 1.55v
2950mhz stable with 1.65v
No stability over 2950 possible even upto 1.8v

At 1.85v (accidently set) massive screen corruption as though GFX memory was toasted.

Volts quoted are set in BIOS, they drop by 0.02v in windows.
