****Official Doom 4 Thread****

12GB patch is ridiculous  at least they finally fix the instant CTD with Nvidia which was ruining any replay value.

"If" you use snapmap they've added a whole load of new environments (mostly hell ones though) and some other features which take up a good chunk of that - kind of sucks for people who never touch snapmap though.

Multiplayer paid dlc should be banned. It just fractures the player base
I been saying this for years, infact all paid dlc should be banned, back in the day you paid like £30/£40 for your game and that was it, and you got a nice game box, game manual, and just for a example, unreal tournament gave you massive free updates for years after, loads free maps, free skins and game types, and now you have to even pay for a player skin, should be outlawed.

EA has finally cottoned on to this with titanfall doing it and other games.

hopefully other games follow.Dirt rally also did it.

Well I let the update download as it supposedly fixes the CTD I was griping about a few replies ago. So far, so good as I Super-Mario bounce my way up Argent Tower including frequent missed jumps and falls. At least there seem to be plenty of checkpoints on this stage...

I've recently been trying to get a stable OC. I don't get any blue screens, windows is stable but Dragons Age Inquisition seems to crash to desktop a bit.

I've just finished it tonight and gonna play this. Was hoping for a stable game to see if it was DAI that was the issue of my OC.

The reports above of CTD's in this isn't what I want to hear.

They have tried to mitigate that a bit with the 'Party Play', if you are in a party with someone who has the DLC then everyone in the party can play the DLC.

Didn't even notice it had updated until I came here lol.

Same, must suck to have peasant internet ;) :p

That would be tolerable, wait to we see the new Battlefield again, it will likely release with the first dlc then 5 extra for maps etc, can be very annoying and pressures people wanting to get the extra content

12GB update (a good chunk of that snapmap stuff) should please those on slower internet.
I was surprised by that too, thought it was downloading the whole game again from scratch . Did anyone notice if it added 12GB to the space the game takes up, or just replaced 12GB of stuff that was already there?

Really enjoying this game, and Vulkan is running brilliantly on my amd 280x and amd 8320. DX12 and Vulkan have really extended the life of my GPU and especially CPU.

Liking the lack of save points. Makes me actually fear for my life a bit, more frantic and it means something if you lose.

Started playing this yesterday. I have an overclocked 3570k and a 970. I tried Vulkan on ultra at 1200p and found it laggy. Buttery smooth when I switched to OGL however. A little disappointing as I was looking forward to playing my first Vulkan enabled game. :(
