ARGHHHH

NINE hours into the game during a boss fight CTD, boot game up again and its in an offline dev mode and the save game is corrupt.

A quick google shows multiple others having the issue but no clear fix.
I just re-validated game files ok on steam.

Was having a ball and singing its praises. Running like butter with G-sync 1440p everything on ultra but motion blur off and DOF off.

NINE freaking hrs anyone got any ideas?

Looks like the game save is in "C:\Users\username\Saved Games\id Software\DOOM\base\savegame"

Could you restore with previous versions, if that's something you have enabled?

doesn't the Vendor email you the code? OCUK have done that for GPU game codes for me in the past

Constant CTDing at any moment is ridiculous the game clearly needs more patching it does it any time anywhere without warning.

A sign of limited QA & going to hurt long term sales unless its patched fast!!

My game now crashes to desktop after the initial two intro videos. Ideas anyone?

edit - got it to start by skipping videos but it crashed when I went onto the load save part of campaign. I had no issues at all yesterday and it seems to have been only after something updated or Doom synced in Steam

I've not had one in 8 hours of playing, so I guess its not everyone.

I only started getting them in the latter part of the game: two or three failed launches of the game and about three in game.

Looks like I may have wasted £23, yes it's an amazing game, can't fault it with development. But it runs so fast, there's so much shooting involved, I feel physically sick with nausea now

did you expect an RTS/RPG experience?!

I had no CTD's until the second boss in the game.

Don't know how much game I've got left at 9 hrs, supposedly it's quite a long campaign...

If anyone has mouse 2 set to jump and in turn has the bug whereby clicking on any load screen doesn't resume the game, the following command gets round it - '+com_skipKeyPressOnLoadScreens 1'

It doesn't surprise me that there's an issue with this given in the beta I couldn't even save mouse 2 as jump.

Looks like AMD owners are getting hammered by performance issues in this game. GTX970 gets on average 90fps and it never drops below 60fps at 1080P Ultra settings and 8x TSSAA whereas the 390 goes as low as the 30s many times and is consistently below 60fps.

AMD say a performance fix driver is on the way though.

Still, not a good start for AMD here.

That's what I use to jump, that is if I'm thinking of the correct button (right button). Had no problems with it, though.

Mouse 2 to jump here as well - you'll find a good few people who started with the original quake use it.

No problems in Doom 3, no problems in Bulletstorm etc. I guess it's because the game throws *** tons of enemies at you right from the go, rather than a gradual increase

Plus the added super smoothness, it's so damn fast and precise

Original doom made tons of people car sick, not used to 3D graphics or something

Pretty sure its the built in mouse acceleration.
