About the Pinkies...

I don't think they are invulnerable from the front, they just take less damage. My process is fully charge a blast from the gauss rifle and watch it explode. Sometimes takes a couple of hits, but I also spam nades as I'm running about which weakens everything. They are super easy to avoid though, just dodge and let them hit a wall then unload on their tail.

I never use the BFG, keep forgetting I even have it.

The I am Vega mission seems to run really poorly. As low as 29 fps

Edit - must be bugged as back over 50fps upon restart.

Yep, just done that mission myself and had big slowdowns. The first so far, it's been rock solid at 60 on every other mission. Had to drop the AA which seemed to help.

Some weird things to get it working right but since earlier been playing solid until now and still no dips blow 70FPS.

Tried MP as well - I actually quite like it :D

1920x1080 ultra settings runs smoooooth don't think I've seen it under 60fps (mostly between 70 and my cap at 120) - 2560x1440 any settings on my 780 take a complete dump (not VRAM limited) and lucky to see 40fps and feels more like 15.

Take it you've not got to hell yet :D

Running a Q9550 @ 3.8GHz, 8GB RAM and an Nvidia 660 at stock. Monitor is 1680x1050.

On 'Ultra' settings I'm getting between 20-50 fps and I'm really, really impressed with that!

Performance takes a noticeable hit, wouldn't bother with 1440p.

If I stick the 970 in the performance is fine at 1440p so far - but the 780 (which I usually use as the few games I do play currently like BF4 run faster on it) performs really odd at 1440p and I can't figure out why (it isn't VRAM limited as the same thing happens whether using low to ultra settings).

1080p runs fine with framerate in excess (on both cards) - so I'd expect to see at worse maybe the odd slowdown not the whole game take a complete dump.

Finally! It's nearly downloaded.
I've got a quick question over settings, which do you think would be better for framerate performance, 4K with no AA etc or 1080 with AA maxed?

My system:
4K monitor, [email protected], GTX980, 32GB Ram, Windows 10.

I've never used 4k (apart from DSR), but I'd probably opt for trying out the higher res first. I've literally just moved from 1200p to 1440p, and unsurprisingly the need for AA is still there, though you might be all right at 4k.

Not sure you'll get that great performance at 4K with the 980 - I forgot to test the 970 but the 780 was down to about 25fps at 4K with ultra settings and TSSAA. Though there isn't a huge difference in visual quality from low to ultra I'd have probably said 1080 with ultra settings and AA would be the better experience in the game than 4K with some sacrifices to keep it playable.

EDIT: Similar story with the 970 and TSSAA on or no AA doesn't seem to make a huge difference to the performance can only guess at single 980 performance in that title but you probably are going to struggle at 4K.
