*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

He's not really good to gank with at all.

He's one of those supports you pick if you want to just play really passive and avoid fights since you can delay pushes a lot and help your mid win the lane.

Invis, low cool down 3+ second disable, a slow that also heals more than a mek (level 3 and above) whilst doing damage. Those are decent.

But i take what you guys are saying sure there are better supports. But he's not bad. And he's only boring to play if you play him in a boring way :P I have fun playing him.

Captain mode. Pick am jugger slardar puck and disruptor. Disurptor refuses to buy wards and curier, I explain solo support is possible and that I 95% end up solo support, he tells me to stfu. I think this game is going to be a loss :D

Edit: Went better than expected, abandon by am before game started, 5min later safe to leave, no stats recorded.

I have no idea how to escape trench, I perform always top 2 in my team, always complemented on my play, my understanding of the game is far greater than my mmr I have no idea what I can do. Does the system really believe that after 1500 games I have no improved at all in my game?

inb4 people say "you not as good as you think" i was 500 points above and although people were sometimes silly, at least supports bought wards and let carries farm instead of attacking creeps, and reason I dropped 500 points is because I have had enough of insults and started throwing games if people insulted me, so I artificially got myself 500points lower but can not escape it now, no matter how well I play.

Those picks are pretty awful, I think I'd be tempted to leave as well. What lanes were you planning with that line up?!

dual, puck(me) mid. Captain was clueless, thought we'd destroy enemy team :D

captain wanted am solo hard lane and rest in trilane

Ah sorry, thought you meant they were your picks. Solo support is "possible" in the sense that one person can do all the buying of wards and the game can still go alright, but there's absolutely no excuse to not have two supports.

AM solo hard-lane, superb. No wonder he abandoned!

solo sup is viable, hell i'ts the only way to play in this low hell, I end up warding and carrying the team as solo hard laner, mid or carry. Good times

What are we counting as trench tier?

Wow, classy.

Wow, classy.

Tell me about it, but what else can you do if people keep insulting you for no reason and I am always friendly and supportive? People have a breaking point.

Trench, well I am at 3000 now 3500 was annoying too but now I see how just much worse 500 points games lower are

I think once you're in trench you're pretty much stuck there. Only way to play with better players is you get your winrare/mmr up, but if you start winning more games than you lose then matchmaking starts chucking unwinnable games at you.

Solo support is a pretty miserable way of playing dota dude. I'm not surprised you starting raging and throwing games.

Eh apparently some people threw games too and then got back up, implying dota2 stuck in trench does not exist, implying my whining is pointless and I am worse than I think I am. I do not know what I can do at this point to improve. I beleve 3k is average and entry so after 1500 games I am average and have not improved at all? I suppose it's time I stop playing the game, the good games I had in the past are so rare it's pointless to expect them. Eh, time to find another multiplayer game I guess! :)

Anything below 4.5k is pretty bad IMO.

Anything below 5k is pretty bad. It depends on what you're relating it to. 3.5k is better than your average player, but is still terrible. 4k is better than most players, but again still pretty bad in the scheme of things.

Indeed it's all relative, also the spread of people in each bracket depends, I once had an invo who played just like a pro, we started calling him dendi, he was amazing, he had amazing map awareness, he saw absolutely everything, any person low on health any corner of the map WHILE absolutely destroying mid, his sunstrike was there to catch and he landed ALL of them, his prediction was something out of this world, he would predict our stuns where they land and how enemy hero end up like you saw 5secodns into the future, his build, map reaction, positioning all was absolutely excellent, out of 1500 games I had I'd say he was the best player I have come across and he was, wait for it, in ~3k mmr. Explain that to me >_>
