Please let me say I'm not trying to claim to be a super star, I'm quite content playing the game and enjoying it and I know I'm a decent player I just find the mmr rank system flawed (IMO)

Just had a great game as Lycan, we were 12/1 down with 4 no towers down and no chance. Got my farm on and ended up 16/6 well supported by a good BS and we won it at the end with 2 towers standing. Great game and love Lycan :)

I'm genuinely quite bad at the game. But I can last hit and farm very well. I'm nearly always top GPM/XPM but I will get really far ahead and then die and feed 1200 gold to the enemy carry due to terrible decision making. Game of throws :)

Just had another good game as Lich though I think it was down to playing a bad team as opposed to amazing play. Won in like 25mins with a very good Templar and Rubrick player.

Decided to call it a night and end on a high note for once :D

The problem with "support" players at 2-3k is they are so ridiculously passive that even if they have good game knowledge and keep ward vision up, don't feed etc, they don't actually have the game impact that a higher MMR support would have by roaming and ganking mid etc.

I think the problem is you don't get the kind of communication in solo queue to make the sort of mid-high level support play like smoke ganks on mid possible. Sometimes it's hard enough to get people to stop autoattacking creeps :p
 
Had one last game last night and got another good win as Lycan. Experimented with shadow blade in his build after PT, Vlad and Necro 3 and the gank potential is unreal! Was stealthing behind them with my wolves, popping ult and Necro from stealth and wrecking 3 or 4 players a time. It's not good for early game but with your farm late on for roaming gank it is a very powerful tool, plus useful to escape if you get caught out.
 
I'm having a bad time on ranked. Maybe I shouldn't of started ranked back when I was so new. Really low and can't seem to work my way up. So many Russians. Just so so many. Before they used to speak a little english now it's like nope... actually it's like cyka.
 
I'm not too bad at the mo, on a decent streak (won 8 of 11) up to around 2450 which is good.

Playing Lycan mainly with Viper as my backup. Playing the odd other character too, bit of Lich/Tinker/Puck and others.
 
Yeah I played Lycan today for around 4 matches. Luna, Mirana, CM. I'm 2350 there abouts. I got over 2400 today but just had 3 or 4 losses due to... well no point in explaining, we all play dota lol.
 
Anyone watching Starladder? DK and EG crushing atm.

Pretty certain it will be DK and EG final. It looks almost like the current meta has left Alliance and Navi behind. Considering the amazing start Empire had they have really fallen off in the past couple weeks also
 
Oops well I tell a lie. Alliance are looking like they might take game 2 vs EG due to EGM's Silencer of all things... lmao

What a game that was! Really want EG to win this tourney and goes to show they are overall a good team and don't highly depend on artz
 
3 wins tonight Lycan, Puck and Lich.

Last with Lich was the best. Played support in a very close game, went on just over an hour but we won in the end. Was 10/9/36 :p was great fun when I got refresher, tide got refresher too and a double ult fr both us destroys them :D looked like we would lose for a long time but we trumped the team fights end game and won with 2 towers still up. :)

Ive played a lot of Lich, hes my most successful character I think, but Ive never once bought refresher orb on him. I find if the game has made it that late, the ulti doesnt scale enough to actually damage the other team. I find Ags a better choice.
 
Already had ags. It had gone on so long I had money to burn, it isn't really a purchase I would normally make but with gold to spare it was useful.

Even late game where it doesn't scale that well a lot of people are put off by the site of it and I find it can turn a lot of team fights even when it doesn't do huge damage.

Loved Puck again, playing with itemisation too now to get the best from him. Was 7/1,7 in a quick win tonight.
