*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

Not played Dota properly for 2-3months and I haven't played Lone Druid for 3 months.

I think he is still my best hero :D

Can you autograph my Admiral Bulldog player card please?

Anchor smash -60% dmg AOE. 60 mana and 4 second Cooldown
Gush - slow, -5 armour and 260 dmg
Kraken shell - built in vanguard which dispells at 450 dmg reached

The ult has nothing to do with it. These 3 spells alone make the hero VERY strong. He is getting picked up in a lot of pro games I see.

Being able to farm ancients is a nice bonus. I don't even know why Murray is posting since the hero got buffed recently and he doesn't even play anymore?

go straight for headress and bracer, max out kraken shell, and you'll be VERY difficult to take down.

I made the error of winning 5 on the bounce. Now the dota gods are punishing me hard, had 5 truly horrific games that were over inside 15-20mins. Luckily 3 of them had a rage quitter, ironically always the poorest player, which has allowed me to leave early.

Don't team with me right now, I'm cursed :p

I seem to only ever get RQ's on my team, when I'm winning my lane, which normally turns the tides against my team pretty fast :( Honestly the amount of players that leave after a few early deaths is ridiculous!

Indeed. I regularly get annoyed if I'm down early but just tough it out, try to assist team and it does sometimes turn around for the better.

RQ'ing is just plain irritating early game. I do think the game would benefit from a "surrender" function if all 5 team members agree you can call a loss and end it. The amount of times people drag out a victory to rub it in is sooooo irritating :p

I agree a part of me thinks a vote to surrender would be great, but the other part of me knows I've had games where I've been fighting off mega creeps thinking it's all over, then for one reason or another the 'winning' team makes a wrong move (normally the lead carry running into the fountain ) which turns into a team wipe, then one fast push up central takes out the 'winning' teams ancient before their 60 second re-spawn is up.

It's games like those that would be missed if a vote quit was added, as players would give up far before that point. I know I would!

I see no reason why not. Have it so it needs 4/5 to agree perhaps. Lets' face it, yes you can occasionally make a ridiculous comeback but if only 1 player on the team thinks it can happen then it probably won't. It would stop those annoying 20 minute waits for a team to flipping finish up.

people will start spamming it as soon as they can after one death or one bad fight I still have nightmares from HON's concede pop up and noise.

Well.. its took a year, but tonight I discovered some **** who annoyed me more than anyone else. This guy on our team starts to carry quite well. Hes doing good. But because the rest of us arent doing quite as great he decides to try and throw the game.

He just avoids every teamfight and then gives us abuse and tells us to die etc.

The game went on for 70 minutes. In the end I as naga I managed to use boots travel enough to the point we could survive. At the very last minute they were on our ancient, and I was on theirs. Manta + My illusions and we killed there ancient first by about a second.

Gave the big finger to the chump who trolled us. Who then hoped Id die in a car crash. Nice guy!

Was satisfying to not let that ******* throw the game.

I dont think Id ever played Naga prior to that so I did some pretty bad ultis :(

But check out the end of our game . Match ID 722125147 :D

had a similar affair with clinkz but no idiots involved just poor teamwork etc. Managed to stealth about the map and feed enough creeps into the base and kill their ancient right before they took ours.

Was pretty good feeling knowing that it was me who pretty much won us the late game.

Had a game like that too. We were really far behind to begin with but in the end it was low ancient on both sides. Managed to sneak past as DP and ulti. Satisfying win :p

If Valve implement a surrender option, I'm going to be annoying a lot of people as I hate giving up in Dota... It's also going to make me miss out on some big comebacks. We've all experienced them and they're much more rewarding than your average win... I'd hate for that to be removed.

Then again, I remember a Valve dev posting on the Dota 2 forums pretty much stating that exact point. Valve doesn't want to deprive it's users of that experience of managing to turn around a lost-cause and winning.
