I wouldn't say "refused" more, didn't listen....then again maybe "they" did refuse. I said more than once that atlas was going to go rapiers while all the raks were up. We let the Aegis time out with no push, because no one wanted to initiate, i still think i should have had that aegis and jumped the ember pre-rapiers. Taken the middle raks easy then...so long as everyoen followed the initiation.
Best moment of the match has to go to westy though, grabbing the aegis, then ulting in the middle of the lane while standing alone
I think we can all agree that Earthshaker shouldn't have taken the first aegis, that ****** us up completely
There's nothing wrong with Viper having it, we just didn't initiate. Viper can't do that, KOTL can't do that.
That's precisely why the aegis should have gone to someone who could initiate, any earlier in the game id have agreed with viper taking it, but trying to go up hill into the base against a turtled team, you need someone who can jump in and slow the biggest threat down straight away. If I'd have taken the aegis and initiated on ember (as was my thought while we were roshing) I'd have taken the death along with a decent amount of embers health, by which point i come back to life and everyone else is in.
It's all speculation, but we did nothing with it as it was with zero initiate, which i would have gladly done had i had the aegis.
Of course it would have been nice if ES had fissure > blink > ult in to it, but poor westy, i dont think hed played earthshaker before.
I'm sure my items were somewhat questionable mind, but any comments as to where i went wrong from the more experienced chaps? ...assuming they went wrong. Felt the AC would have been better on bristle (Cheers newts, radiance noob
) but apart from that having not played huskar before (well once, a long time ago) hadnt the foggiest. (Maybe a daedalus instead of the halberd? or a heart? Blade mail might have been nice in hindsight if i was going to initiate)

You generally want the aegis on whoever can do more damage throughout a fight, that's why we gave it to Viper. He was the most farmed and was outputting the most damage.
I can appreciate that most of the time, but it doesn't get us very far when there's no one to fight and no route up the high ground. Not to mention he had the range, slow and a heart to survive (and he sold the mek to pick it up)

Can't remember exactly what you had from the screenshot, but Huskar likes lifesteal and regen. Treads -> Armlet -> Helm of the Dominator -> BKB -> Satanic -> Heart usually works, grab damage items instead of Satanic and Heart if you feel that's more appropriate for the game.
Ok so i generally was ok for items, didn't have bkb though. I actually went to start building one before the halberd.....I've no idea why i changed my mind.

Therein lies my biggest mistake then. I know that for future now though
Guess it didn't go too bad for my second game on him....not a hero i enjoy playing though, just doesn't feel right.EDIT: 3rd game it seems, one 5 months ago, one over a year ago in last april
