*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

Thanks for the invite last night but I was just logging when I got it.

Elixir Necro is/can be a support. Won 4 of my last 5 as support Necro generally getting 10 more kills than deaths he's really effective.

Maybe I'm just pro :p

I'll link the games later when I'm on the PC and had no bother supporting well and being extremely effective in fights.

You just go Arcane Boots>Mek>BS>aghs and later levels you murder people as you are a ***** to kill and can out out damage. What people forget is its easy to farm on him as his ult guarantees last hit so you can get golf pretty swiftly.

Sounds like your team were already stomping if you can successfully farm bloodstone on a "support" necro after mek. I suspect you could have bought any item and it would have made little differnce to the overall outcome of the game :)

It's not.

Confusion of cause and effect when it suits.

Got my first all hero win on the second go with DP we were basically playing against 4 men as someone took techies and he was horrific. He went around 3/14 :p

Then why must he team be stomping? Farming a mek and bloodstone, assuming mana boots is 2300 + 5050 + 1450 = 8800. In a 30 minute game that's sub 300gpm which is easily attainable on a support in a tied game.

I don't think Necro support is very good really. And getting bloodstone after mek seems like it would be really late.

Not taking into account wards, dust, smoke etc.

Okay. Say you buy 30% of the wards smoke etc and your 5 buys 70% of it. 150g observers every 6 minutes, 200g on sentries every "6" minutes, 100g on smoke every 5 minutes and say 180g on dust every 10minutes (more or less, don't know what enemy heroes are).

So in a 30 minute game,
150 * 5 = 750
200 * 5 = 1000
100 * 5 (you can't really smoke more than 5 times in 30 minutes unless you manage them extremely well) = 500
180 * 3 = 540

Total: 2790

so your 30% is 837. 837g is really not a big deal over a 30 minute game...

Anyone "can be" a support. He's many times more effective as a carry.

EDIT: He also really doesn't need a bloodstone in my opinion, I went Aghs -> Shiva's -> Scythe after the mek.

Ive played dota for about 2 years and I still find myself being wound up by classic Dota **** heads.

Just had a game. We were losing about 10/4 but with all towers(9 minutes in). Our Leshrac says "GG let them win Im going AFK"

then proceeds to go AFK for 5 minutes.. we start to play a bit better and the game turns around. Leshrac returns, starts to follow us about... We lose a team fight, so he goes AFK again.

We eventually start to dominate the game. Leshrac returns.. this time he fights a bit. Then he does a little purpose feeding.

Then we win the game and the douchebag has nothing to say.

Rage inducing!

Lol, yes he's a great support when you get arcane boots, mek and bloodstone :D So is Death Prophet and Timbersaw then.

His skills don't lead him to being a good support in any sense of the word.

2 passives that don't benefit teammates at all (in fact harm them because he needs last hits to trigger the regen). Ultimate that actively takes kills away from your core heroes. and his Q...if you're looking for a support with healing there are better support options.

You've yet to make an argument yet Newts...

I'm not sure you really understand what a support is, you seem to think good KDA ratio = job done.

I've won a game as support sniper, shall we now start claiming that sniper is a good support?

His heal ability can keep people up, you can keep the lane harassed through his passive, his ult (Whilst taking a kill) can lock someone out of group fights. Is he the best support, certainly not, is he a viable support? Yes.

Stop talking **** and being petty shami. :)

Game is still on at 8 tonight if people are coming, if not I'll be working on this all hero challenge. Storm Spirit next, been a whole since I used him. On the hero challenge it says something like "average games to complete the challenge 160 games" have people actually finished it already?
