Playerbase doesn't = $$$. The 11% might not have spent a penny on the game. I doubt they are worrying in the slightest.

nope that's exactly what a larger playerbase brings... more income. your logic couldn't be more flawed. you think that patch was a coincidence trying to shuffle the game like that? they even brought it out only 3 days after testing. If this trend continues Valve will go into panic mode and probably harm the game.

Its probably from TI4 where loads of people who didn't even play the game downloaded it just so they could watch the biggest tournament in e-sports in game.

LOL WUT. You think this patch was tested in 3 days? It was put on the test client, there is a internal development team and testers before this. Plus Icefrog has made this game what it is. He's not stupid about what need to be changed up to make it more fun.

This. All this. I have friends that wanted to see what the buzz was about but didn't have the time or want to stay playing the game. I bet the player base is still growing after the dip.

Bane with Aghs is so much fun :p

Had a decent game there, getting stomped early about 13/3 down but played a solid game and we won every team fight with a Bane, Omni, Medusa combo we were too hard to take down for them.

I don't think its that great though. You need bkb as well and if you are a bane who has aghs and bkb then you've pretty much always won.

He had an Omni on the team which is probably the only time it's a really viable to get early enough and be able to use to make it worthwhile.

Won't be surprised to see lots of Omni and Life stealer picks now the new BKB rules are in place.

On a side note, I love the new bloodseeker, I enjoyed the old bloodseeker to be fair, but this one is definitely more competitive.

I certainly feel games that are going bad in the early game are worth fighting for due to this new come back swing in gold and xp. I have had more games this patch that have been really close or swung back and forth between the two teams almost more than my entire 1k plus games from before.

Not entirely convinced it's fair that you can lose the early game so hard and still win though.

Most of the games I have played have been really competitive since the changes.

Not been part of a massive stomp just yet, I'm sure it still happens but I'm enjoying it so far the way it is.

Just played a ranked party game with a friend and lost as our SF went 3 - 13 and Witch thought a shadow blade was a good investment. Then the game ends and it shows that me and my friend have our MMR and the others are calibrating. Yet no one on the other team was calibrating. How is that fair in the slightest?

Because even though its calibrating they are still around your level.

Also Shadow Blade is really good on Witch Doctor. After aghs atleast. You can channel your ult while invis.
