Agreed, Lesh is pretty tasty right now. Played against Lesh a few times & it's been hard!


Having a great streak with Omniknight at the moment. Had atleast 80% win rate with him. See Techies being played a lot recently which is a pain, people just go into full potato mode against Techies and just run around then blame me (support) when they hit a mine. I just tend to ward two lanes and request the team focus on them.


Starting to dislike pubs due people just thinking the games are all about the highest K/D ratio.
 
I've dropped like 600 solo mmr in the last couple of weeks.

So many toxic players, so many players not realising this is a team game. Makes me so frustrated that people just abuse and argue with each other from the drafting stage. very rarely do you then get a win with so much hatred between people on the same team.

Agreed.

DOTA has a horrible community! Not sure if other MOBA's are like this as DOTA is the only one i have played.

Oh well that is not because of abandoning, that is because the network has had problems. I think I've seen that once in ranked.
 
I have had that, It's always Russian opponents and i can never tell whether they are doing it deliberately between them to make the client think there is network issues. Or if that is measured server side.

only reason i think that is because others on my team have mentioned this when it has happened. Accusations flying arround
 
I always thought in ranked, if somebody DC's and is issued with an abandon before first blood then no stats even get recorded for the game and there is no MMR change, except for whoever abandoned who is issued a loss.

If the game goes beyond first blood anybody who DC/abandons is always issued a loss and minus MMR regardless of weather their team manages to win or not.

I had this situation a few days ago where one of our team DCed 1/2 way through the game and never returned. Luckily we managed to win 4v5, but the guy who abandoned still got -25mmr.
 
Just had a game where a guy called mid shadowfiend then miod game claimed we were losing because we didnt have a carry.
 
Couple of good games last night, still can't nail down my early game with Jugger. Played a couple with him as I am playing far too much with Omniknight & Shadow Shaman.

Getting a decent ammount of last hits. Though still feeling weak with Jugger. After 20 mins or so Jugger just transforms to a whirlwind of devastation.


Tend to go for Q & stats early game, i don't think i jungle enough which would in essence speed things up for me. Though i've not played in a lane yet where i've had decent ranged support. A few seconds of harrassment from a WR would help massively. Though it just ends up in last hit competition. Though i must stress i've only played Jugger in pub games.


Favourite heroes are: KoL , Omni , WD & Disrupter. I play support 80% of the time i would say. Only really stray to carry & other hereos for challenges.
 
Game just now a perfect example of why I generally don't support in DOTA pub.

Roll in, offer to support straight away and pick my hero, happy to help trying to be friendly, completely ignored. The team then pick 2 junglers and 2 tanks. No one bothers helping support, they all scream and argue for 15mins by which point our 2 junglers and one of the tanks has fed 18 kills and it is over.

/sigh, back to carries.
 
I have found the majority of games much better since playing ranked than I did playing unranked, I think people are generally less likely to troll or are more willing to pick a hero you need to win rather than just their favourites.

My current favourite heroes are vengeful spirit and winter wyvern, in fact I love WW at the minute, nothing better than dropping your ulti on a group of melee heroes and watching them all pile onto the squishy guy in the middle. Or dropping cold embrace and a glimmer cape onto one of your carries on 10hp in the middle of a fight.
