I believe they will be affected by lance but not lens. Lens would affect life break. Not sure how the damage would be applied. 8% is really not that much though, it's not worth getting the item for that.

Just did a test in the demo mode. Lance affect flaming spears, Lens affects Ulti.

Guess you could just get Hood of Defiance. Costs gold and a slot I guess, but basically gives you the magic resistance back (all but 4%). Plus you get it upfront not when half dead.

As soon as I see huskar picked just take Lina/Lion and laugh at the nerd rage your ugly induces on most Huskar players.

Lion wasn't really a counter to Huskar if you are talking about his ult. In magic resistance was so high he would need to be incredibly low health for the ultimate to finish him off.

The inbuilt hex and stun are a nice counter though if you have physical dps to back it up.

Lina was a pretty good counter but only once you had the aggs upgrade as this turns her ultimate from magic dmg into pure damage.

Sniper with the new item (forget what it's called) but adds 130 range is crazy.

Riki and battle fury is pretty sweet.

Not seen many games won with Arc Warden, think he could be a game changer if used properly, especially considering you can effectively have a double hero, shame I can just about manage 1 let alone 2 or illusion / manta haha.

I believe sniper with dragon lance with maxed "take aim" actually puts his kills out of XP range :D

I think Arc Warden looks more of a Support than anything else. I can see the potential for carry but having 2x Midas, Sheepstick, euls etc...

His only real carry ability is his ulti imo. Can only really see him carry from mid or solo offlane...

He looks.. SO cool though :)

Remember you can also get double Necronomicon and double Manta Style. That's gotta help for pushing towers, effectively gives you 10 units to controls though!

Played a ranked match yesterday vs a 5.2k Arc warden.

He went midas, manta and boots of travel. His push was insane and we were penned in and could never find the real arc warden to kill.

If your playing him as a carry, Midas, Nec, Manta is the way to go for sure...

I just don't see him as a carry atm, especially not at my MMR. (2.6 or so) Obviously i know im not amazing, but just my opinion :)

I don't really see how he could be a support. His skills don't offer a lot and his main support skill has a large cooldown. Couple that with his incredibly low base damage means he can't effectively zone an offlaner or gank really. His only effective position is safelane farmer imo. He can't really mid because he can't effectively last hit against most midlaners.

Just speculating :) I've not seen him played successfully yet. Maybe one game where he went carry but had very little effect on the game in total. More annoying than anything. I've personally not tried him, spent most of my weekend learning invoker.

He looks fun though :)

I think he's a fairly weak hero at the moment, he mostly relies on split pushing which isn't that strong in the current meta. The popularity of heroes with large AOE damage like Ember and Gyro really hurt him.

Couple that with the fact that if you go split pushing with 2/3 necro books. You'll feed sooooo much gold to the enemy. That's like 1k per failed push.

I quit this game for good last week with a few thousand hours invested, and coming from Dota 1, meaning I've been playing for close to 9 years.

For me the game is no longer enjoyable when solo, and most of the time even when playing with 1/2. The matchmaking is really bad, matched with non-english speakers or primarily russians, and to top it off the game isn't played how it's meant to anymore. The majority of games, last 60+ minutes, when they should only last 20-35 minutes max if played well.

The number of games I've seen thrown, due to not pushing is uncountable. The community itself and the player base is toxic, and the game changes people in negative ways.

Solo play in every single moba, heck every single mmo and you could even argue fps is ruined by toxic communities. I don't play anywhere near as much as I used too because of it but as above if you find a nice group it can be rewarding.

When I used to play with musty pie and the rest here it was great fun, ultimately RL gimping my regular game time stopped that but if you want to enjoy a moba find some friends/clan and enjoy.

I play solo MMR maybe twice a week. Only really play Party. Generally because the missus normally plays, and if she's not I've got a group of 3-4 other friends that will be online when I am as well... If I have to play Solo MMR I just go and play Starcraft or something :)

Like I said before, happy to play some with anybody off here if they can put up with me. Steam: Luxotican

Was teamed with an Alchemist the other day, he had randomed then bought no items at start, got lucky with runes then had Midas within 2-3 minute mark.

By 9 minutes he had bought me Aghanims Scepter on Warlock. I proceeded to get refresher and steamroll their entire team within 30 minutes. It was glorious :D

Dota is amazing at times. But soooo damn frustrating at other times.

I definitely need to learn to mute people rather than react and end up in abuse battles lol :D
