I had to learn meep the hard way as well but i would say I'm pretty good with him now. Generally I keep a meep in base for emergency escapes and tab key is your best friend for quick "poof" stomp to kill people. He is very suspect over to a counter pick though so only take him last second to stop someone purposefully playing against you.

I still go aghs, Assault, Vlads and if you can get the jump it's mostly easy kills with him.

One thing I do struggle is cycling through nets to catch people running away, I'm not as smooth with that.

Sorry to jump into the conversation but I saw Meepo get a mention. I have a friend who just plays Meepo and he is insane with him. I started to learn him to try and emulate how good this guy is.

Have 'W' set to quickcast, it takes more buttons or clicks out of the equation for when you do the blink poof combo. Have Tab as the switch hero key and as long as you are on the main meepo, with blink dagger you just spam the TAB, W combo 4 times then blink in from behind some trees and before you know it the enemy is either dead or trying to run away. If they try to run, spam your TAB, Q (net) combo every 2 seconds to hold them in place. Not even an anti-mage can blink away from it.

It takes a while even with the tips he gave me but when you get it good, you can solo carry your entire team.

Just had a very weird game..never experienced it before...

Knew something wasn't right when before the timer even got to 0 to start the game...they got Rosh...

Then then just went straight to mid as a team of 5 and just pushed us as a 5 on every lane...we couldnt stop them! They were NP, Luna, Venge, Aba and WD. We had only 1 ranged...which probably helped them. I was Slark and managed 5/5 but within 16 mins the game was over! :o It was a 5v5 party although I just randomly joined a group of 4 in the chat...so dunno if my team was even any good...but still!

It's becoming quite common these days. I seem to see a lot of 5 man dota stuff going on in my games too. Sometimes it works in my favour, like they left me alone as OD while they went and spent their time sharing xp. After about ten mins I had my key items then could pretty much wipe their team solo. Kinda satisfying.

Yet to see this sort of stuff, I can kind of see the benefit from regards to gank kills but as Hedge says lanes not being ganked would G stack quickly, have levels and murder in team fights.

Watched Pyrionflax play in a game where the other team did this. Shaneomad was watching and just advised that they leave the 5 man push and just farm the jungle and other lanes. The other team did get to mid tier 3, but as they were a 5-man they had been splitting xp. Pyrion's team did farm up separately and therefore had more xp and more gold than the other team and were able to hold tier 3. It wasn't easy but they did it. They had also pushed out the other 2 lanes. So they were able to turn it around, slowly but they did it. The other team were now underlevelled so couldn't really split up and had to 5-man, so Pyrion's team could keep split pushing and farming.

Was actually a really good game to watch.

Yeah it always seems to be rock-paper-scissors with DOTA, if the opponent starts 5 manning, then spread out and farm farm farm. Even if you lose a tower or two you can normally pull it back by out leveling and out farming.

On another note I just got my first ever rampage in 1000 hours of playtime, using weaver of all heroes...

Finally 6.87 changes are out!

As expected, Invoker, Zeus, OD all nerfed as they were just overpowered.

Tusk ulti buffed nicely.

Loads of new items and changes to current items...not sure how effective some of them will be now byebye octarine core.. good thing is TP scroll is now 50 gold :D

A lot of changes to towers... "Towers now grant an armor aura to allied heroes  " as well as creeps/rosh hp, xp and gold...

Love the banning idea in Ranked All Pick :)

Not sure about the Scan ability...need to see it in action...

Hopefully will be released within the next couple of days...

Will read it in more detail tomorrow..

Apparently patch is already live. We will see just how effective the nerfs to Invoker/OD/Spectre and Zeus are.

Invoker was out of control, i've lost count of how many games this patch that this one hero basically won the game on his back.

I've only read through the notes quite quickly last night but I think jungle heroes will be even more viable this patch with the small changes made. Plus some of those new items that can be bought very early on.
