*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

Had a cracker of a game last night - randomned Razor in a Free For All match and played a blinder of a game. Now, I am not the best player in the world, as I panic and fumble of key presses during a combat, or get ganked when I am trying to kill that enemy hero with a gnat's knacker of health. But when someone calls our team cheats because they were whooped with 63 - 11 kills and rages about our overpowered team (3 of us randomed our heroes), it adds the sweetnes to my rare and glorious win. I think the main troll was annoyed that nobody picked the usual game winners of Drow, Bounty Hunter, Bloodseeker, Spirit Breaker or Sniper - especially on his team!!

Sorry, just 12 hours after the game, I'm still smiling. So sweet is the taste of that rare victory.

On a massive losing streak and it's because of things like this:

The matchmaking really confuses me. It doesn't seem to work. I still get non english people in games. I mean this IS a team game. You would think valve would not do this half assed.

It looks like this 3 losses, 1 win, 4 losses lol.

My ratio is getting better so slowly. Just seems like every match, someone feeds or someone quits. I had a match where before it even started, Nature TPed somewhere and got instantly killed. I wish I could say it was me that was causing the losses but sadly it's not. I keep taking screenshots and sharing them on Steam of how proud of myself and how well I have been doing :'(

I feel the exact same way Tobes, I've tried playing matches recently and I feel like I've been doing well but my team just isn't pulling their weight. Its a team game and I can't win when it feels like 5v1.

Just had this game for example where I could kill literally anyone so quickly if I got the chance to just go on them but my team kept getting picked off and dying before teamfights. I then can't kill 5 of them when the only other person alive is AA.

Dotabuff link if you want to see the items my bear had - http://dotabuff.com/matches/307768432

I was super farmed and my damage output was insane, I was almost 6 slotted on the bear(last item on courier).

I had this match last night where my team just decided my ult wasn't the reason why we were winning fights so they kept trying to fight without me initiating and every fight they lost. It's really making me lose interest in playing when I get put with teammates who don't seem to know what they are doing. I wouldn't care about losing if my team actually co-operated and played well. Not everyone plays a perfect game but you can still be useful if you just listen to what people are saying and try to always be with the team.

I'm starting to feel like my MMR is way too low. I seem to get games like this everytime I solo queue and its really putting me off playing the game.

I've given up on solo queuing, only playing now when i can get at least one other person playing just isn't worth the grief. Not played as much the last week or so but enjoying it more.

I've found some other noobs to play with, just by having a bit of a banter in a random. They know about as much as me so its quite fun.

Just talk to the people, you never know you might stumble on one sensible person.

Had 2 more games last night and one won lost one.

It's only limited heroes through training mode but love playing the sniper. High levels find myself kicking **** so quickly. Fun little game.

been favouring a more support role lately, carry is fun and all but it just seems everyone wants to be the carry, loving shadow shaman for plopping wards down and locking people down in team fights!

but when I want to slap faces, always fall back to phantom lancer! he is just soo cheap and easy :D

Steam is Aenrion if anyone fancies adding for a game or two

Just won 2 more games. Decided to play other classes than the Sniper. Played Razor, he was ok, quite fun but I found him to be better at bashing creeps than heroes.

Played Viper next, he was amazing, had the game doing giddy fits "DOUBLE KILL, TRIPLE KILL, MEGA KILL!!!" Or something like than within a few seconds when I poisoned everyone during a big battle mid :D

Really is a fun little game, haven't got the time or inclination to play it seriously its a great little laugh.

Trying my hardest to get into this game, but just die all the time and it's no fun when everyone else is just destroying ...any tips? :)

Complete the tutorial, and then play with bots! Just until you get used to everything, using the minimap, the skills, the items, and so on, and it will help you get familiar with some of the heroes. Also jump into the OcUK channel in game, you should probably find someone in there willing to play through with you and give you some advice and help.

Finally, read this:

Anyone else had the game break?

It went through a phase of crashing my computer, then a phase of just crashing to desktop. Tried every suggested fix I could find, just deleted it off my computer and reinstalling fresh.

Anyone else had issues like this?

On a massive losing streak and it's because of things like this:
Your team clearly let you down. But you've carried so well that you were undoubtedly attracting the focus of their CC. If you had BKB instead of half a Deadalus or Basher then you could have invis'd in to initiate and popped the BKB immediately after. They will have had to scatter while your BKB wears off, but with his skills that's 1 or 2 heroes down, especially as none of them can right click you down.
Just had this game for example where I could kill literally anyone so quickly if I got the chance to just go on them but my team kept getting picked off and dying before teamfights.
BKB vs OD! He has one and no one else does. <palmface>

And then 3 BKBs against you in the second match while they have more targettable skills.

One item rarely wins a game, but if one can claim to do so more often than not it's a BKB.

I'm right in to it atm, only played about 30-40 matches overall but starting to pull ahead with wins. I'm starting to see what type of roles I like playing too. If I'm not playing Dota I'm watching competitive matches convincing myself "I could have done that"

Feels like the first time I played cs1.6 utterly infuriating but so addictive :P

Edit: Im in the OcUK guild btw i just changed my name - if you see KittenPuncher69 (I know classy name, right?) send me an invite!
