I don't think I've ever not cared about a game so much in my life.
I understand why Duke Nukem was good "back in the day", it was one of the first real mainstream FPS games, however now all I can see is a fairly bog standard sci-fi FPS with as much juvenile crap stuffed in it would make a 12 year old think twice before boasting about it to his friends at school.

Tell that to Bulletstorm. At least Duke Nukem games were juvenile from time to time which made it funny. Bulletstorm is juvenile from the very first second the intro plays and continues with an endless onslaught of dick and fart jokes...
...and that was only the demo!
I don't really get what was so great about Pong, but then again, it was before my time. To be fair, the game's not really aimed at you, same as it's not really aimed at the CoD-borne console crowd, it's aimed at the people who remember the last Duke Nukem for what it was then, not for what it is now. If other people play it and happen to love it, that's the icing on the cake, but you can be sure that any great reviews you read on this game aren't going to be written for its groundbreaking innovation or its maturity, they'll be written by people like us and they'll applaud the game because it delivers what it's supposed to - Duke, in abundance. As long as they've kept that in mind, I'm happy to shell out on release day for this game.

Other thread was fine, as discussion was already happening there about the game, oh, but we can't talk about the game there, because it doesn't have OFFICIAL in the thread title. HURR DURR.
couldnt care less about the single player - it was an afterthought in duke3d tbh, however its my favourite deathmatch/1v1 game of all time, so would have to deliver on this front. cant see it happening though really (plus my reactions arent what they used to be) 
well it doesnt have * in it so its obviously not important!

Hardly, the sp was highly entertaining and had a ton of interactivity. Not exactly what i would call an "afterthought".
Well, just a personal viewpoint really. I played duke3d deathmatch competitively and never found the single player appealing - same with Quake, but each to their own. I guess I just miss those days
AFAIK 3rd June on PC in UK & if you take the key for this demo it contractually binds you to the purchase so make sure you really want it! I blindly bought it Randy Pitchford got my money after this video as he appears so genuine & is risking most of his money on this so lets hope he is right otherwise Gearbox will be in a lot of financial trouble!IIRC the demo is out for first access club members on tuesday
