**Official Duke Nukem Forever Thread**

With these conditions in mind, wheres best to preorder the game from?
Whatever suits you best but if you take the demo key offered from most (but not all) shops retail/digital that is confirming your pre-order so if your unsure all you can do is wait to hear what others say as the demo is coming to Steam only & anyone who has it will have already bought the game. You can also buy certain GOTY editions of Borderlands to get this demo access key. UK gets Duke on 10th June 4 days before US as well.

Just take a chance & always bet on Duke ;)

I understand why Duke Nukem was good "back in the day", it was one of the first real mainstream FPS games, however now all I can see is a fairly bog standard sci-fi FPS with as much juvenile crap stuffed in it would make a 12 year old think twice before boasting about it to his friends at school.

Because back in the day you were 6?

always bet on Duke ;)

This. ;) I'm not even massively fussed about gameplay and graphics. It's how the game will make me laugh that I can see myself loving.

I'm certainly looking forward to getting it when it comes out. Might have to replay DukeNukem3d with the hi-def pack again for the lols :D

Wheres the best place to preorder this from to play it on the day of release? Seen it for £25 from a few shops but I'd probably have to pay next day del ontop of that also to ensure its on the day of release, putting it at steam prices. Also does the preorder thing with steam for early access work as well?

NVM, just noticed if you bought borderlands through steam, you get access to the DNF early access club also.

Steam are doing the base edition for £30, to be honest you can't really go wrong with that. If you think £30 is a bit steep for a PC game, well, probably best you keep that cash and put it towards your food budget :p

Cant wait for launch, to actually hold the sequel in my hands after how many years?!? The original was fantastic in its day.

I'll still buy it even if it gets bad reviews.

Tell that to Bulletstorm. At least Duke Nukem games were juvenile from time to time which made it funny. Bulletstorm is juvenile from the very first second the intro plays and continues with an endless onslaught of dick and fart jokes...

...and that was only the demo!

Yet it's brilliant.

DNF is a day one purchase for me also.

First person to quote this post gets my DNF demo code, since my Motherboard is being RMA'd right now I have no need for it.
