If you have the fodder I would highly recommend Dalglish SBC, he must have some hidden stats, he is more clinical than Mbappe.

I was really considering him...then used my fodder on different packs over black friday deals. I could still afford but not sure......I put 86 Keane in the evolution to get to 88 so using him for now, will get my fodder up again and then decide on Dalglish, hopefully he goes up in rating too.

He just seems to finish inside the box consistently on both feet and seems to be able to turn 180 and still finish. Then there is his finesse style plus trait with 5 * weakfoot
 
I don't know why I expect any different with this game - playing a crappy squad battle on semi-pro just to get an Evolution done with a few clean sheets......and they literally walk through my entire team at walking pace and the shot goes through my keeper!?!?!? :confused:

I can't concede goals if I try to when it doesn't matter!!!!!!! :mad:

I keep coming back to this game... I keep turning it off after 30 minutes lol.

Last night had a fun two games. Won one 2-1, lost one 3-2. The next game... my word. It was back and forth for a bit and was 2-2 at half time. Then my players lost the will to live. I conceded a power shot from 30 yards. Fair enough you might think. Well, we the guy watched the replay and I could only laugh as my player warped through both the ball and the opposite player when making a tackle. I didn't realise I had a player made of mist in my midfield.

That followed by two Van Dijk corner headers and yep, I was out for the night.

In fairness you can defend the corners relatively easily, its rare I concede against them now. Maybe once per weekend league
 
How does matchmaking work in champs playoffs? I find them so much harder than WL for some reason. WL I am bang average and get 9-11 wins. But in FC24 most of the time I fail to qualify. I thought maybe it was just higher skill base in general compared to FIFA23 meaning harder to qualify but then when I did qualify I performed same as FIFA23. It's so depressing, earlier this week I was 3-3 in playoffs and lose last 4 games. Even in FIFA23 my worst results were in playoffs not WL, people talk about WL as being hard/sweaty but at my skill level (never got more than 13 wins afaik, appreciate if you are doing 16+ it must escalate) it's not at all compared to playoffs and friendlies, it's a very pleasant experience even as a weaker player - I just can't get there very often in FC24.

In summary I'd say for average players Weekend League is probably the easiest multiplayer mode except for golden goal friendlies where you get a punchers chance, or if you are sandbagging in Rivals.

Just play the SB normally, you don't need to get 4 clean sheets in a row, they will come eventually and you'll get more points from beating higher difficulties. I think it took me 6 maybe 7 games to get the 4 cleanies.

The 3rd level of the Marauder evo is stupid though, they have challenges to get 4 wins in Rivals/Champs and then another one to get 4 wins in SB/Rivals/Champs. The latter is completely redundant because by definition if you do the former, then you must have also completed the latter one.

If you get 9-11 wins in WL I am very surprised to see you struggle to qualify, to me the mode is the easiest out there, I have never failed to qualify in my first attempt since they brought that in and I avg 11-14 wins each WL so similar to you. You get the odd very good guy, probably 2 of the 10 games are difficult, the rest are relativily simple.
 
Got 8 wins in the weekend league, not as good as last year but happy with that.
Did a hero pick and got kompany, just need to think how to fit him in. Think drop simikan at rb and play 3 or 5 atb with vidic, kompany and thiago silva.
If I go to 5 atb I might go with lahm at rwb and bacha at lwb.
Might have to drop neymar and use him as a sub.

My best performer of the weekend league and a few games before is lukaku! 24 goals in 24 games despite me quitting some when getting thrashed. 0 idea why he's so good but prefer him over katako and if benzema. Seems fast strong and a great finisher.

Did the auba sbc to try out too

Failed again in a second attempt at qualifying over the weekend, was at 3-5 but lost last two games, including blowing a 2 goal lead. The annoying thing is when it gets to 3-6, then you start the final match and sometimes you can tell n the first 15mins I'm almost certainly going to lose, like despite losing previous match, the new opponent is much stronger. And it's just a feeling of meh, because you know that one match is more important than all the other matches you are playing for the entire week put together.
11-14 wins is a bit better than me - I think only once or twice have I got over 11 in fifa23. I think with the distribution curve getting say 12-13 wins average is a lot better than getting 10 average.
It's just mega frustrating because of all the rewards locked away in WL, including that objective to get wins in Champs Finals, I'm stuck on 9 wins because I didn't even get a chance to increase it this weekend. And it's compounded because if you don't qualify you have to start on 400pts meaning a lot of rivals games needed to get back up to 1250pts before you can play the playoffs, although the past two weeks they had some objective that gave bonus points for scoring in x rivals matches, that helped a lot.

On reddit people say stuff like "Oh if you struggle to qualify then WL isn't the place for you" but it's the opposite, my win percentage is way higher in WL than playoffs.

I think the matchmaking in qualifiers is very dodgy, I'm never confident... you only need to face 4-5 really good opponents and then you're under pressure.

Sometimes it's a breeze, other times I'm down to the last game...
