*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

I am really annoyed now. Bought the imperial edition for early access and 3 evenings they have taken the server offline during peak hours in the EU.

What a joke.

Yh it's pretty poor. I understand the EU megaserver is in NA until a few weeks after launch when it will be moved over to EU but this isn't really on especially for those of us working and only having time to play in the evenings. Anyway aside from that I'm really enjoying it.

Heh, I thought there might be a bit of moaning going on in here :D. I managed to get to level 9 with about 10 hours playtime, I take it quests must give a large % of a level's exp all the way to 50? Otherwise it may take a while to get there (which I don't necessarily mind).

Kind of understandable it would go down for a few hours before the official unlock for everyone. Am just heading to work anyway so fingers crossed it all working at 6am when I get home.

I understand that they need to do some preparation for release, but I'd hope that they would do it a bit later in the night for the EU server. I'm sure it wont be the case once the servers are in the EU rather than in NA, but its still a bit of a shame that people have lost such a chunk of their early access. Its not too bad for me as I have the 5 day early access so I've played a fair bit over the course of the week, but I do feel for those people who had the 3 day early access

I'm not usually one to complain about these sorts of things but really annoyed with the downtime two night in a row now. Especially since last nights patch didn't even fix the two quest bugs i was stuck on!

I think it would have been nice to consider us EU folk, most peeps would have been looking forward to play in the evening due to work etc.

Well i'm now level 33. While maintenance is a pain, in the grand scheme its not that bad.

That may be true but clearly you've had a decent amount of time to play to be at level 33. When people paid extra for early access it's reasonable to not expect long downtime during peak periods when people get back from work.

Don't get me wrong, the down time is horrible for prime time EU.

Sucks, first time I got to sit down with the game was last night and servers went down. Just about to put kids to bed now and I can't play tonight ! Prob wont get a chance now till Sunday evening :(

Put points into Keen Eye, that made an enormous difference to me, once I had the mats "sparkling" it made gathering way easier

Just as a counterpoint to this, I never bothered with the keen eye malarkey. Once you realise what you're looking for, the nodes are pretty easy to spot. And if you have a bit of a poo system like myself right now, they often pop before the rest of the environment, making them even easier to see :P

I'd like to think they will do something nice for people who have paid for early access and been shafted as an EU player. I understand its small fry in the scheme of things but most normal people who have a life play in evenings so it's bad form taking that option away.

Alright mate. Are you in the TOG guild ? Do you know how long it takes on the website to get full membership ? Applied this afternoon. Thanks mate.

looking forward to joining the guild.

It usually takes no more than 24 hours, though sometimes there is a bit of a backlog, looks pretty clear on applications at the moment though so should be good to be cleared tonight

Yeah I dont pick Keen Eye on my blacksmiths as I can spot the ore deposits quite easily, but I do pick Keen eye on my clothiers as I struggle to spot Jute normally and having the effect on them makes it much easier for me to spot Jute.
