*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

Hi Guys

i pulled the trigger and was wondering where the OCUK gang made its home.
server/faction really not sure where to start.
@tehahtimeh i beleive

Add me too :)

@ne0rel0aded

Any OCUK guild going? Be nice to play with others.

Add me @Francky85 (Ebonheart Pack)

Was also thinking to purchase and play (loved Skyrim et all) but would like to be in a gang for a while...is there one for OCUK?

I'm only level 8 but I haven't been able to play for a week due to an elbow injury. Looking forward to getting back on at the weekend.

As others have said this is the first MMO where I haven't been racing to level. There just doesn't seem to be any need. It's refreshing.

Indeed.....first MMO that I have truly felt like I'm playing a good quality single player RPG game in a MMO world...so not wanting to race to 50 just to do the endgame.

Star Wars TOR had a good story, but still felt like an instanced MMO...this is very seamless and looks amazing.

Bought it on a whim as I'm stuck at home looking after my GF for a week.....and very glad I bought it....especially for £25.

I don't get it I'm following the quests and I'm level 7 but it's making me fight level 9 mobs which are smashing me -.-

The curse of WoW :(

Don't follow the quest chain, at least not religiously. There are plenty of other quests around if you explore a bit. It's not really a hub-to-hub hoover up the quests and move to the next hub type mmo.

As one of the loading screens says, every so often just pick a direction and run :)

See I struggle as I like grinding and I suck at questing. I've tried grinding but mobs seem to give such little exp.

I'll do what you suggested and see how I get on.

Yes as Sleepery said, I struggled with the Mage guild quest, I was only level 5 and they wanted me to kill a level 8 boss type mob. I got flattened so I went exploring. Picked up some random quests, made to it 8 then killed the mob with no trouble.

it's all about killing as much as you can on the way to anywhere xD that and getting lost and picking up random quests :p level 13 now and last night myself and our guildy matty (12) were starting to embark on some level 15 quests and downing some 13-15 mobs (and elites) with relative ease :D

really helps he was a tank so just a damage sponge and I could go full ham on them. with my sorcerers ultimate (sith lightning hands xD ) and just chew through their HP xD

which reminds me... can any one explain what the numbers on the ultimate mean? there's an internal number as a % and then a number just above the skill bar. thanks in advance :D

Anyone know any mods which show what status effects/buffs are active?

Also after one to show the map as fed up of constantly going in and out of map to find the right shop.

http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info60-ZrMiniMap.html

That will help regarding the map, creates a little mini map on you ui.
If you can't see it when the mod is active go into settings one of them changes the transparency but its not labeled as that can't remember what it was called.

This will show you the data you requested.

Hope this helps.:D

Does anyone know if there's a place to store items? I keep running out of carry room.

I've opened one of the map packs and my inventory is full of maps! I've no room for anything! Very annoying

You can store anything in the bank which can be found in most cities. Any crafting items you store can be used at crafting stations without having to go to collect them from the bank first.

You can also purchase a bigger bag from places with the bag sign outside.

Thanks chris-82 for the mods. :D

Thanks a million! :D Didn't know about the bank

How are you guys liking it so far?

Loving it, such a nice relaxing mmo, really have no desire to powerlevel my way through to max level.

Most nights i just end up walking around, doing quest's/looting/chest's or just looking at the scenery etc

Agree with this tbh....the other night i just wondered around collecting ore and finding new places dont want to rush the game tbh

As others have said, this is a refreshing take on the MMO genre, but also a solid single player experience. The graphics are great, and the lighting touches e.g. sunbeams twinkling through a forest make it feel amazing.

I am pretty cynical about games in general, and a moderately experienced WoW player, so I know what is BS and what isn't.

My advice is don't rush. Don't click through conversations - download the mod to hide the text that NPC's speak. The voice talent is very good and worth listening to, and you'll feel more in tune with the world around you.

I find myself wanting to explore the land, rather than running from point A to point B. Nothing is handed to you on a plate, but equally it does guide and nurture you.

I found a treasure map a couple of nights ago - it's not marked on my map but I've studied it carefully and look forward to the feeling of actually discovering something that isn't marked by a blob on my map. You have to engage with the world to enjoy it.

All in all, I'm really enjoying it, and I hope it gets better as I level up and start doing dungeon runs.

Really enjoying it so far. Hit VR1 couple of days ago however there is a bug with the main quest-line (among others) so can't start the vet zones. However I have been levelling my crafting and after finding any stray sky shards I have missed; I'll probably do some pvp and try a few vet dungeons until they fix the issues.

It's not without problems but it shows so much promise, the adventure zone trailer looked sick. Played wow for years and this was such a refreshing change, so much more immersive and nice that it doesn't hold your hand. Some of the graphics are amazing for a mmo.
