We are bringing down the European megaserver for maintenance tomorrow, Friday April 11th, at 5:00 AM BST / 6:00 AM CEST, and bringing down the North American megaserver for maintenance tomorrow, Friday April 11th, at 8:00 AM EDT / 1:00 PM BST.

I was out yesterday in Grahtwood and was collecting some resources and lo and behold, what do I stumble across. Orichalcum Ore.

It struck me at that moment how funny it was that there are so many MMOs with Orichalcum Ore in. Up until several years ago I had never even heard of the word and it seems that every mmo I have played since has had Orichalcum Ore in it :D
 
I haven't played as much as I wanted as I'm in a addicted to dota2 phase. Intend to have a good few hours over the weekend though. I enjoy the open world feel of it all, first mmo I can really remember that asks/wants you to engage with the world so much.
 
Another update:

Today, we made our first major strike against those who choose to cheat in ESO, permanently banning thousands. I wish I could find some video guides on staying alive, fighting semi boss mobs at end of quests kill me or almost kill me, tried kiting but that rarely works and im sick of spending my gold on health options!

I think I saw a man using a speed hack. I was running to some copper using sprint and a guy ran past me and beat me to it, I thought it was just player lag but its the only case ive seen like that.
 
Has anyone done the quest "Through the Ashes" in Auridon? Something about stopping the ritual going ahead.

I can see the entrance to the cave, but for the life of me I have no idea how to go up the mountain to actually get there lol.
 
Have not played a mmo before love skyrim type games like to take my time an explore things an play solo or in a group when I feel like it joining up wth others in OCUK would be fun im thinking of getting the imperial version so can have a horse but not sure its worth the extra cost.

I can buy the standard edition for £23.70 an then buy the imperial upgrade for £20.00 so thats £43.70 total not bad price.

Could I get medium/high settings with 60fps?

The horse is a godsend imo.

I reckon you'd get away with 60fps on medium settings. I'm on an i5 4670k @ 4.5ghz, 16gb ram and a gtx 780. Playing maxed out with v sync on and it stays at 60fps 90% of the time apart from the city hubs and pvp when there's a lot of peeps around. Even then it only dips into the 40's.

It is. I've stuck another 11 inventory slots on it so far! :D

Speed wise it just above walking and should be sent to the glue factory, but I'm not giving up those slots.

Anyone had any luck with the rare motifs yet? I've seen two different people wearing full Daedric heavy so I know someone has found one, and there was an auction for the Imperial book the other day and it went for at least 16.5k :eek:

I really want the Barbaric book.

I've bought 2 imperial horses on each of my characters, one which I've built up with Speed food and one which Ive built up with capacity food. So when I go pvp I get my speed horse out (which is now on 22% speed) and when I am pveing I get my capacity horse out :D

I have a less powerful i5 than you and half the ram. With high settings I notice barely any slowdown at all and I am above 50fps for 90% of the time. It runs extremely smoothly given how good it looks.
 
Are mounts easy enough to get? I know the Imperial Horse is behind the Imperial edition paywall, but what other options are they for mounts?

You can buy one from the store, for about £10 I think.

In game options start at around 17,000 gold, which is the same speed as the Imperial horse , and the next horse up from there is about 42,000 I think.

Takes a while to build up 17,000 gold.

Obviously if you want 1 horse for each of your characters, then you would have to build up 17,000 gold on each character. Whereas if you have the imperial edition, you can buy an imperial horse for 1 gold, so you can get every character a horse straight away.

I am almost VR2 with all quests and skyshards collected on ebonblade :]

Imperial book isn't needed if you have the imperial edition, just right click and convert to imperial! I have only found Breton and Wood elf so far.

Also why don't you just buy the larger bags from the vendor? I actually think the first bag only costs 1000 which is cheaper than the 250 gold cost per slot for the horse :p. I've purely bought the bags and nothing on my horse and I'm up to 90 now :)

Yeah, I know you can convert but you can't make (unless you're an Imp of course). I didn't buy it but it surprised me as it's quite a price for a racial book (saying that, I'd pay that for any of the rare ones bar the Ancient Elf).

My next bag upgrade is quite hefty (about 9k I think) so 250 a day is small fry :D

Currently sitting at 102 inventory spaces and 90 bank ones.
